That's really cool! I wasn't aware you can do that but what a great idea. So on that pic was it a regular piece of printer paper and then you used the magnets to hold it up? Or did you have magnets attached to the back of the paper? I guess Disney has no problem doing that? Does it have to be magnet or can you tape a piece of paper to your door too? :-)

You can buy magnetic paper at office supply stores or wal-mart that you just load into your ink jet printer. The little mickey ears are the paint chips from Home Depot. You peal off the ears and use magnetic tape. It is really fun to do and helps you find your room. :flower:

Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing!!

Did you just put that on your door when you got there, or did you have a CM do it for you so it would be there when you got to your room? Very Cool :cool1:

I'm actually having a friend's daughter draw something for us on the magnetic paper!!! She is a brilliant artist and only 20 years old!!! Can't wait to see it.

I'm doing something similar for August.

Piglet33 - were all of your signs (8x11) totally magnetic paper or did you put little pieces of magnetic stripping on the corners? Also, did you laminate your papers? And, how did you do your disboard name on the oval shaped piece? That is really great!!! You people are sooo creative.

Thanks,

Yes, they were all totally magnet paper not regular paper that was laminated. Actually, the one that's the oval was given to me by someone. She actually cut it out in that shape.

I bought the magnetic paper from this place - http://www.decalpaper.com/magnetic-decalpaper.html since they seem to have the best prices. The magnetic sheets are also heavier than the ones that are sold in Office Depot, and they have a matt finish so you don't have to wait for them to dry. Shipping is only $6 no matter how many you order, which is a great deal since they weigh a ton.

Sure, if you tell me what you want, I can try to help. It really isn't very hard to do. I'm sure you could do a wonderful job if you tried.

Where di you get all the Disney piictures to put on there? My daughters favorite is the Little Mermaid. The last cruise I took the lime green mickey heads and stuck a magnet on them and it was so easy to find our room then..my daughter would run down the hall until she saw the mickey heads and know right where to go!

This was our main magnet from Oct 2004. There were also Mickey heads with each of our names and a photo on them that were separate magnets. Lastly, my DS5 made magnets by taking Disney stickers and putting them on that foam-like craft sheets, cutting them out and sticking magnet tape to the back of them.

Zip-a -dee-do-dah is my sons favorite song.

Most of the clipart came from the web - try searching Google Images - there is an amazing amount of stuf out there!
