Hi all!

I just printed out magnets using designs from over on the Disigns board and they look great.

I used the Avery inkjet magnet paper which basically seems like a regular, matte finish paper adhered to the magnet. I'm worried the regular paper front won't hold up to much wear and tear.

I was wondering if anyone had ever done any kind of finishing on their magnets. The two possibilities I had thought of was either laminating the entire sheet before cutting the individual magnets out or either getting a can of the matte or glossy spray finish that I've seen used on furniture and paintings sometimes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I didn't finish my door sign, and it was up for 2 whole weeks (we were on the eastbound trans-Atlantic) and it was fine. I didn't even use the magnetic paper, just a regular sheet of computer paper, with the magnetic strip you buy at a craft store.

Have fun on your cruise!

That's good to know. I was hoping to have them as a souvenir for after the cruise too and was more worried about when they're back home on the fridge. :lmao:
