MagiQuest wands work at any MagiQuest location, with the possible exclusion of DinoQuest in Santa Ana, CA. The wand has a computer chip inside that stores your game status, so you can return to MagiQuest and pick up where you left off.
I personally have been to the Myrtle Beach, SC MagiQuest (which is the "official" location, as it was the first built, and features the entire game), and the Williamsburg, VA location. Williamsburg is a Great Wolf Lodge location, and includes about half of the gameplay options that Myrtle Beach has (as far as I know, all of the GWLs have limited versions of the game). When I went to Williamsburg, their staff told me that my gameplay from Myrtle Beach would be erased from the wand to make room for the new data at this location. However, I went back to Myrtle Beach a few months later, and my Myrtle Beach gameplay was still saved.
So to break it down, say you played 10 quests at Williamsburg, and then decided to go to the Poconos. The 10 quests from Williamsburg would stay on your wand, but couldn't be used in the Poconos game. You would start over in the Poconos. But if you went back to Williamsburg AFTER the Poconos, you would pick up on the 11th quest there.
The wands are built to save your game memory no matter where you go, but the game has different features in different locations, so the data can't be saved across the board.
