MAGIC's 2016 Westbound Transatlantic - September 17-28

Hi. We are a later 40 somethings avid cruisers/travelers who are non-drinkers, really normal and do not have kids. We live in Orlando and are super excited to be cruising on the Barcelona transatlantic. We are huge disney fans who frequent the parks and thrive on the mouse - we are loving the idea of 11 nights of Disney magic. We are looking for couples/singles that would like sit at a larger table for dinner - for 11 nights we would really enjoy getting to know a larger group for good eats/times.

Hey Scrapy - there is an FE started and mention of other activities has occurred. I for one would be interested in any tequila tasting mixology thingy! (Hint Hint):drinking1Also there is a small group getting together for dress-up evening photo opps in similar outfits such as black/white, sailing outfits, Dapper Day at Sea, and some other surprises. Keep your eye out for further announcements.
Hi. My husband and I are interested in some of these activities and are unsure what a FE is? We are trying to find a group of singles/couples that would like to sit at a larger table for dining. So we are looking to meet as many as possible beforehand to have an awesome sail. Any suggestions?

Has anyone started putting together a directory of everyone on this cruise? For previous cruises, I created a Word document that listed:
name(s) (people just put down first names to be cautious)
screen name
where everyone was from
kids' genders and ages (and names of those kids whose parents didn't mind them being listed by name)
cabin number
and any other details people wanted to provide, like hotel in embarkation city and hotel in disembarkation city so that people could coordinate transportation if they wanted

So, has anyone started doing anything like that? I know it is still early days, but I am so excited to start planning, and I am happy to undertake to start gathering information.
You can add us - Devin and Tracey Hackwith, We live in Orlando, No children, No room# yet
We are looking for anyone that is single/couples that would like to sit at a larger table for dinner. We really don't want to spend 11 nights eating just the two of us...

We are also booked (switched our booking from the 2016 eastbound to the westbound), wish we would booked eastbound when the sailing was announce back in March 2015. Oh well. We are now booked in Cat 4B, 8574. It will be the three of us; DW, and DS (5 at time of sailing). So guess we will be pulling DS out of kindergarten for two weeks or so. We are from Los Angeles CA. I have already send a request on the Facebook group. So, whenever the admin gets a chance, could you accept my add request? Thanks.

Oh, we have 12 DCL sailings completed and probably one more in May. So this may be our 14?

Please add us to this discussion. Joseph and Cecilia Weaver. 35 DCL cruises. 3rd WBTA. Love them. Going on 5 June British isles also. We currently are stationed in California. I am an active duty USAF officer.

Welcome aboard. 35 is an amazing total. I thought we were doing well on our 9th (2nd WBTA)

Hi all!! My mom Ann and I (Meagan) will be joining and are excited to meet you all!! Does anyone know how to find the FE group? We'd love to participate!!

hi!!
We just booked our cruise :D We - my husband and I - and our daughter (5) are very excited!
It's our second cruise, but our first disney and transatlantic one. After the cruise we want to spent some days in New York, before flying back to europe. :)

Welcome aboard both of you.
Last night I booked airport car parking for this trip. Got a great deal, 25 nights Meet & Greet for £47 :)

Deck 1. Stateroom

Hello, going on our first translantic cruise. We normally have stateroom on deck 6 or 7 with a veranda. But due to cost ($800 saving) we opted for deck one with port hole. Has anybody stayed on deck one?

We were on Deck 2 our last trip, and had no issues at all. Loved the large porthole (think some on deck 1 have two smaller ones instead of one large), but found that we preferred the lower decks as to the upper ones. Didn't notice any appreciable difference in movement on the ship, but that's different for everyone. Also didn't notice the lack of a veranda, as the view is still there with the porthole, and we prefer to sit inside and watch as to outside. I know it's not for everyone, but we really really enjoyed being down low.

We have had a veranda on 2 out of 9 Disney cruises. 1st cruise(4 nts) we got a free upgrade, used it about 10 mins. Then we upgraded for a very small cost on our last WBTA (14 nts for about $200 extra) we only really used it for taking a few photos.
Some people won't cruise without a veranda but unless the price is right we don't really want it.
Can't comment on the deck, never had a cabin below deck 5.

We're the same... we got upgraded on our Honeymoon cruise, and I think we spent a total of an hour on the balcony the whole week. It's just not for us, as we'd rather stretch out in the sun upstairs.

Hi, just booked. We have gty so no room number yet. We are Lori and John in 1 room and Karen and Cesar in another. Anyone have any suggestions on airlines from Chicago that you can recommend? Very excited to be doing 11 nights. Also, we love participating in Fe's. Please include us.
