MAGIC's 2016 Westbound Transatlantic - September 17-28

Booked this one also! 3rd TA (but will be the 20th DCL cruise).

Cruising Hawaii and Caribbean 2015 and early 2016 but on another cruise line (oh the horror!)

I'm hearing a lot of buzzing about canceling trips due to the new limited alcohol policy. Just curious if anyone is dropping this cruise because of it. It doesn't impact me at all. I'm pretty satisfied with the two or three drinks I have a day on board, although Barcelona. Wine. I think we may be bringing a few bottles from Spain with us.

No..won't cancel because of that but I do see DCL perhaps going the way of Celebrity with an all inclusive drink package.

No we wouldn't cancel because of it but I do hope they do come up with some sort of beverage package as mom_rules mentioned

I do not drink so new policy does not affect me. I am still looking forward to the cruise. i did read most of the thread on the change in alcohol policy and decided not to comment because I think the thread was turning into a mob mentality of anger and a few were fanning the flames especially if you were pro DCL.

I am happy to cruise with Disney.

Not canceling here either. DH and I aren't big drinkers so the policy doesn't affect us. DH might drink one beer but that's about it for us. I did hear of a tequila tasting which sounds REALLY fun for me but that's as far as our drinking goes.
DCL for life for this couple. party:

Yeah, that thread kind of blew up big time. Lots of finger pointing and name calling and assumptions being made. I found that the people who were the most vocal about it claimed to take a case of beer or a box of wine on board and drank it wherever they pleased and no one had ever said anything to them about it, even though DCL policy was that personal alcohol was supposed to be only consumed in your stateroom. Too much "Disney's changing their rules" when it seemed like those squawking the loudest were those not playing by the rules and they wonder why Disney changed the rules.

Anyway, on to more happy thoughts. Like seven days at sea! Really good food. Parties on deck. Disney themed shows. Meeting new people.

Hi everyone we have booked this cruise aka The Tranny.

We are DW Katty, DD Liliam 23 at cruises time and myself Manny. This would be our 7th Disney Cruise, lucky number 7. Our stateroom is 5637

Also this would be our second TransAtlantic (love all that ship time) and third sailing from Barcelona.

Well in one year's time we will all be jumping with exitement.

Yay, welcome onboard fellow shipmate! Deck 5 is the place to be again I see :-)

Hi everyone.
We just got off the Disney Fantasy on Saturday, our 8th Disney cruise.
While onboard we booked this cruise, it will be our 2nd WBTA, also did the 2014 version.

It will be me Wayne, DW Karen & DS Matt (22)
My plans are 2 or 3 nights in Barcelona, 11 night cruise, 3 or 4 nights in NYC then either drive or fly somewhere for another 6 or 7 nights.

Unfortunately so far out nothing is certain, Matt will be at the end of his Masters degree as well as taking on the role of Assistant Dean of his college at Lancaster University so he has no idea how much time he can afford for this trip. We might go without him or we might cancel if he can't go, not decided yet.

Hi all. Just got off the Wonder after a wonderful week in Alaska. We booked our 5th cruise, our first Alaska one. Can't wait to sail with you.

My husband Joe and I booked this cruise as well. Initially we were on the Eastbound TA but when we saw the price difference and chatted with our great friends who are also booked on this cruise (mom_rules), we changed our minds, haha!
This will be our 12th Disney cruise and our first TA!

Becky

Hi all. My husband and I just got off the Fantasy a week ago, did the Eastern Caribbean, was our 4th cruise and the weather was just awesome. We booked this one while on this ship because we loved doing the WBTA last year and we thought we'd like to try this one. The best part about about a WBTA? We gain an hour everyday which means longer vacay!

It will be DH's and my first cruise. We plan to spend about a week Paris and Barcelona before the cruise and a few days in NYC after.

Booked on this cruise after a fantastic med cruise this summer. Sailing will be myself, DH and our DD who will be 2.5, as well as our in laws on their first Disney cruise!

Staying in New York for two nights afterwards. All new ports for us excited!
