Does anyone know if they are giving Magicbands at FW yet for entry or charging ?

We'll be there next Monday with annual passes and I'm not sure which resorts have switched to the new Magicbands ... seems like FW would be an early adopter as the room locks don't need changing except for cabins ...

I'm still trying to figure out just how annual passes and magicbands are going to work. I guess the annual pass would be on your "computer profile" ... it would be nice if we didn't have to ask for our discount, it would be automatic, same with TIW (Tables in Wonderland) ... that would raise the question of how you would set up and maintain your profile ...

To my knowledge none have switched to Magicbands, but all resorts have switched to the RFID cards.

I was there through the January 19th and the RFID ticket for resort guests where live, Annual pass and other tickets where still using the old turn style. And while they did have my set a pin for "tap to pay" only about 4 vendors in all of WDW had the readers up and running. 3 of them Epcot and only one register at the Medows Trading Post.

Is it still true that the RFID lines to enter the park are shorter to enter?
Think it is worth having our tickets added to one of those cards for that perk or just use the tickets we have as they are?

Just read tonight that they will be sending out RFID cards over the next few months for AP holders. Next month CR and BW will be first to start using the magic bands. Hoping we will get to use them in may for our trip but it won't be a camping trip we will be at CBR for our anniversary.

Without digging in previous posts...what are the RFID cards? We purchased tix from UCT and were hoping to add our tix to the key cards.

Basically the RFID cards are replacing the KTTW cards. It is a card with a rfid chip in it that will be used to open your hotel room, enter the parks, and make purchases. The cards will be phased out and they will be introducing the magicbands.

I hope they keep the RFID cards as an option for those that can't stand to wear wristbands (I.e. me, I can't even stand a watch. It's bad enough when I have to wear one for a couple of hours for an event, I can't imagine wearing one for an entire vacation.
