I bought a MagicBand when I was on my trip in August of 2015. I want to use it on my trip this coming August. How do I link my purchased MagicBand to my upcoming trip to use in place of the one they send to me? Will the MagicBand they send to me interfere with the one I want to use?

Also, is there a way to confirm that everything is linked to the MagicBand? Last trip, Memory Maker photos that my boyfriend scanned his MagicBand for didn't show up in MDE even though he was on the reservation.

Magic bands are not linked to a specific trip or reservation or ticket. They are linked to your My Disney Experience account, and you can use any active band in your account interchangeably. So one does not have to be "in place" of the other, you could use either or both.

Whatever is in your MDE account can be accessed by any active magic band. For PhotoPass, you have to specifically link friends and family for the photos to show up on your MDE. Under the "Friends and Family" dropdown menu, click on EDIT by the friend you want to link for PhotoPass.

I just looked at my MDE for this, and I have my DH and 2 kids listed in my friends and family but it does not give me the option under edit to share photo pass photos. We are not going until June. Will this show up later?
