Is there anywhere you can buy a customized MagicBand (name on the inside) prior to a trip?

Our youngest will only be 2 (turning 3 the week we are there) at the start of our trip, and therefore will not be shipped a MagicBand like the rest of the fam. I just don't want him to feel left out when his older brother and sister get their cool MagicBands in the mail.

I know I can buy him a MagicBand from shopdisney.com, but I did not see an option to customize it.

If there isn't a way to customize his, I will simply not get names put on the other ones.

Thanks in advance!

Is he listed on the room reservation? If he is, there should be a MagicBand for him which can be customized.

My daughter got one shipped to her when she was 2 (same age as your kiddo. She turned 3 during the trip). She was so excited to tap her own band when we did :) If he is on the reservation, you should be able to personalize one for him.

If you're staying on site and he's listed on the reservation, he'll get one.

Cool. Thanks. We haven't book yet, so I will make sure he is listed on the reservation. I did a simple Google search before starting this thread, and the first thing that came up was, "MagicBands are only provided to guests who require park admission, which is 3 and older." I guess that is bad info.

I had to order a magic band for my great nephew for our trip. He won’t turn 2 until a couple weeks after we get home. My travel agent told me to order it.

Yes, that is bad info. It must not have been from the Disney website. Every registered guest at a Disney resort, even infants, receive a complimentary MagicBand.

Everyone on the reservation gets a magic band when staying onsite.
Age does not matter.
Go into your magic bands and cards and customize them.

One would have hoped you would do that anyway. Everyone goes on resort and dining reservations.

It must not have been from the Disney website.

Sadly, but unsurprisingly, it's from the official Disney Mom's Panel. https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...and-purchase-one-she-doesnt-feel-left-317124/

How do they pick people for that panel? I've always found their info to be absolutely incorrect in many many instances.

I believe they have open calls for people to join the Mom's Panel every year. You can go to their site and see when they are accepting new applicants and there are different stages of online questions to fill out and an interview process, but I have found they are full of holes and really isn't a great source of information.

They have people apply. I applied one year. Never heard back. Gracious forbid they should have people on their panel who already know how to find things out and try to help others already...

The Disney site has a page that talks about Magic Bands. I would also call Disney (or use their online chat feature) if you still have questions. Random net searches might bring up all sorts of inaccurate information. Also, what may have been true 4 yrs ago, may not be current practice.

Even 4 years ago they were giving MBs to 2 year olds. I only know because it was the only time I went with an under 3 and he definitely got one.

They are really bad. I looked up something this weekend (I forget what) and they had a wrong/useless answer. You'd think they would fact check them from time to time.

OP, just a heads up. Your little one's MB will turn the scanners blue instead of green (since he has no park ticket or FPs). My son noticed and wanted to know why. You may want to have a cute reason ready for him. The CMs told my son he had a special band but depending on your kiddo you may want to personalize the explanation.
