MagicBand not working for FastPass in MK?

We were in MK this morning to do a couple rides with our FP+s. I was wearing my 45th Anniversary Casey JR MagicBand. I was able to get into the park just fine with it. I charged multiple items to the room with it. But every time I went to scan in for a FP, the tapstile would blink white for quite a while and eventually turn blue. The CM managing the entrance would glance at the screen, say "you're good" and wave me in. This happened for 3 different rides.

Anyone else see anything like that?

Likely a limited edition MB with special colours/sounds.

Your MB is programmed to have the touchpoint flash white while the touchpoint plays the Casey Jr. song. If the touchpoint isn’t activated for music, all you’ll have is the flashing white lights.

It does have a special flash. I didn't realize the flash was only white on this one. I don't wear it much.

All of the MK 45th bands, except for my railroad one, do something special with the lights and sounds at the FP points. My husband's tiki band shows rainbow colors and plays the tiki, tiki, tiki room song. My railroad one doesn't seem to do anything special though

I have the tiki and the dumbo and they always show effects. The railroad never did anything special until today.

Mine's the WDW railroad black one, not the Casey Jr one.

I bought it for my husband. The whole family loves the Tiki Room. I wish I had bought it for myself though.

Does anyone know if the “Gift of Magic” ones from the promotion around Christmas cause special effects? It was speculated they might but I haven’t heard reports.
