MagicBand for another visit

We were at Disney last year and received our MagicBands for that vacation but if we go again this year does Disney send us new MagicBands or do we have to use our old ones? I can't seem to find any info on this. I know the kids are going to want different colors.

Yes, you will get new bands if you want. If you log into MDE you will see the date by which you have to customize the bands.

so if we have different sets of magic bands from different trips, can we bring an older one on another trip and have it linked at the resort. we have several different colors and i was wondering if we can reuse them on trips, including my ap one??? anyone?

As far as I have seen/read any band that is attached to your MDE account will work for each person, so you would be able to use whatever color band you want that day as long as it is linked to you and your MDE. To check just take them to the resort and try opening your room with them. If they do not work you should be able to have a CM at the front desk "wake them up" for you. You should not have to have the CM wake them up because they are linked to your MDE and not your room reservation. I hope that makes sense.
