Magicband+ dead battery questions

We got our bands in the mail for our trip next month. After fully charging them twice, the battery will be low after about 3 days with not using them at all. Is this what other people have seen?
Also for those who have used them, if the band completely dies in the park I know the basic functions still work, does this include the ride photos that you don’t actually tap for like Mine Train?

Yes. There's supposed to be a way to turn them off, but I tried what I found and it didn't work.

Also for those who have used them, if the band completely dies in the park I know the basic functions still work, does this include the ride photos that you don’t actually tap for like Mine Train?

Dead battery = no automatic ride photo linking.
