Magicband Bling

Has anyone thought of blinging out your magic bands before your trip? My DD is a dancer and since we rhinestone EVERYTHING, I thought maybe we could rhinestone our magic bands. I know E6000 will hold pretty much anything but we don't have our bands yet so I don't know what material they are made of. Also if we do this do you think it would interfere with the RFID chip in any way?

They seem to be some kind of rubber.

You have to be able to touch the Mickey head to the machine that reads the card. So beads or rhinestones really close to the Mickey head design might prevent that from happening.

I think along the band away from the actual chip part would be fine.

Yes, stay away from the mickey, it needs to be able to touch the round mickey head reader.

I liked mine plain, but I wish they had purple.

I was so excited to receive ours.
As soon as we got to the store I picked up my Minnie bling...I was heart broken when I got to the park and I had lost two of my Minnie pieces. The silicon plugs are tiny and just fall out. They refunded my money saying its known issue....then why sell them?

Secondary to that they are really sweaty, I hung mine inside my bag.

I have a related question. Is there any reason we couldn't use a fine-point sharpie (or equivalent) to draw on the band? I'm thinking adding a few Mickeys, or whatever else I can design.

I am planning on taking a small tube of super glue and using it to secure the pins to my MB since I have read so many say how they fall off.

You can make a ballgown. If I could do that I'd be OK if I couldn't draw a Mickey head.



If I stuck crystals on my MB I would rip my clothes to shreds.
