Hello. My adult brother has CP so limited mobility in his left hand. Anyone have any links to any bands that the puck can be put into so he can more easily put the band on and off without assistance? Thanks!

Can he use his right hand? I have the same disability and usually just put my band on my left hand with my right hand. You also could see if just sliding it on on the loosest setting without it slipping it off would help.

He can, but then that means his MB ends up on his left hand/wrist which creates a challenge for actually scanning the band itself

I might see if I can get the pick holder to go on his Apple Watch band 🤔 or we’ll just assist him putting it on.

The more I think about it these magicband + have so many flaws and are not easy to use or wear for so many. They’re so much bulkier than original MBs and don’t stay on well esp kids and those with smaller wrists. And they used to have puck holder options through Disney that they don’t sell anymore with MB+

If you do buy a MB+, definitely consider a "keeper" for it, the MB+ have a tendency to come unfastened and fall off (ask me how I know). They sell them on Amazon, I bought some, search Magic Band Keepers and lots will come up. Worth the few dollars they cost. They also have puck holders on Amazon.

Consider BitBelts from Amazon to hold the MB+ in place. They work really well and were only a few dollars for 10-12 of them as I recall. My MB+ came loose in September and would have for sure fallen off if not for the BitBelt holding it in place. I could tell it had gotten looser and when I looked, the belt had popped open and was getting bigger, but the BitBelt prevented me losing it.

He can use his Apple Watch to scan instead of using the Magic Band. The technology is hit or miss when opening hotel doors.

I’ve been using a puck holder that slides onto my Apple Watch band for several years. I just got a MB+ and had to buy not only the puck holder to slide onto the watchband but also a special holder to be used when charging (have to remove the puck from the slider and fit it into a different holder for charging). However, I just searched Amazon for MB+ Puck Holder and saw something called a Watch Clip Adapter that looks like it would be much easier to use than what I have. You might want to take a look, since he has an Apple Watch already.

I have a that is on an extendable clip, like a work badge that can attach to a purse or clothing. I’m not sure if they sell them anymore; but they used to have a few with the little puck inside a castle or a key, or others.

There are sellers on etsy with 3d printed puck holders, they can be clipped onto a carabiner. I have attached the puck holders to my purse or belt loop and added a retractable ID card clip.
