Magically Addicted to Pixie Dust...

So, as just a small celebration (and since its a big reason for our upcoming trip) I wanted to have a mini.celebration for Kris & I's first year married! We toasted with a little pineapple juice and champagne in our wedding flutes on Sunday...

And here are two fun pics from that day a year ago. One with my princess pink shoes, the other of Kris and I during our actual 'I Do's' :lovestruc

Yay! First year down, lots more to go... but its going fast already. Okay, that being said - On To Wednesday!

Wednesday we commit to walking the world. We commit, comrades, to seeing, doing, and EATING all there is at the Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. Its Epcot day! :cool1: and when im not blasting off to space, im wishing I had elastic waisted pants. I can see it now. popcorn::

Disney09088-1.jpg

The day begins with the rope drop, heading over to get fast passes for Soarin' ASAP. If we could ride that 5 times in a day, we would. Its our most favorite... and to this day, even if he's wearing sneakers, Kris takes his shoes off to fully experience the simulation. Me on the other hand, still gets scared at the golf ball... hidden mickey and all. Then because futureworld is open two hours prior to the world showcase, we'll hit the big ticket rides. Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and maybe Living with the Land? Ive never done this either - anyone have advice? Dont miss, or skip it... its a nap? lol.

Im most excited about taking on the World Showcase. Its been forever since ive really taken my time to go through and experience all the countries have to offer. Kris and Allie have NEVER done this, so im really excited to spend most (if not all) of the day walking and seeing and doing... and EATING! I know, its sad - I have two lists - one to see and do, and one to eat while we're there. I know that no matter what I want to eat a Napoleon from France, and find the Grand Mariner slushie. Eric will undoubtedly take a few trips to Germany's Biergarten ;). We have to be in Italy for a 1230 ADR at Via Napoli ... which I am SO excited about. Cant wait to see what all the buzz is about and have pizza from those giant ovens! After that we'll probably get on the Maelstrom in Norway for a break... and I want to go to Japan to pick a pearl!! :yay: Ive never done this or even seen it in Japan, and everyone seems to love it - so im making a conscious effort to head over there and do it for myself. Pretty excited about it! Anyone know how to pick the best pearl? Someone said find the ugliest shells.... weird.

Then, wrapping up the day at the newly renovated San Angel Inn, with an ADR of 715p. Hopefully with enough time to make it outside for a great view of Illuminations.

So, being a little rusty on all-things-Epcot... any advice? Must eats or sees? Anything and Everything is helpful - you guys seem to know the craziest and most detailed adventures :goodvibes

I love your wedding shoes!! So girly and fun!
Mmm, the napoleons are TDF! One of my favorite pastries, and those definitely don't disappoint.

Thanks! Short of glass slippers, I wanted to go all out for the big day. Ended up finding 'Barbie Pink' C.Louboutin's and splurging while in Las Vegas for a photography conference. Heres a different pic from that day.

YUM on the prosecco. I have never had pineapple juice in it but I have had Charmbord. O.M.G. And gorgeous wedding flutes BTW!

LOVE the hot pick shoes! What a statement. :thumbsup2

We have Via Napoli reservations too! :woohoo: I think your EPCOT day sounds great! And it IS all about seeing and eating...isnt it?

I am going to find the GM slushies, and the Kir Royales, and the....:drinking1

I also want to pick a pearl but have no advice since I have never done it before. I hope someone else here does! I'm an instant-gratification type gal, and would want to pick a setting and have it done right away! :yay:

I remember very little about the Land ride...I remember strolling along in a boat and looking at plants. And a huge Mickey Pumpkin. Yep, thats it. But thats not to say I wouldnt do it again - I hear alot of people love that ride. And its air-conditioned....and you're off your tootsies.

DEFINITELY go in the back of the Morocco building - gorgeous tiled interior/exterior. BEAUTIFULLY done.

Good Morning - Lurkers and posters alike... it seems the boards... or at least a few of the Trip Reports that Ive been following... have been pretty quiet for the last few days :confused3 So I'm hoping you're still out there and reading!

Florida_June2007128.jpg

We officially made it to the teens. 18 days to go before we head off to the land of sunshine and magic! I actually had a dream last night that it was already over, and I missed it. As if it was going to go by so fast - I might as well have skipped right over it. Yikes, Right? We always want days to fly by until we get to vacation - but they always seem to go fastest when we're actually there.

My worst day (and the family joke) is always the last day. I go from sad to be leaving, to downright jealous and angry at the people walking in for the first time. My luggage is packed and in the lobby - and people are walking in and jumping and screaming in excitement. Its pretty bad, but I get scowly and cranky watching. Maybe planning another trip will help!

In the meantime today, Ive collected my happy thoughts. Tootles collected marbles to keep them with him, and Ive got a small collection of princess pictures that make me happy - thought Id share a few to get me through the endless Massachusetts rain this week...

Yea, this rain is killing me too! The boards are quiet...I think you are my only groupie anymore! :rotfl:

18 days - YAY! :yay: And that dream would be considered a nightmare. I get JUST like you do on the day I leave. I glare at people (in my head, I hope not outwardly!), I pout and the Disney Villian in me pops out...its not pretty. :sad2: Planning another trip right away helps but not until I have overcome by Disney Blues and reality has readjusted itself back into my head. I cant even think about that right now! LOL!

18 days!!! WOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!!! I'm so excited for you!! I will be at the 18 day countdown on December 1!!

Oh, and I get Grumpy on my last day too. I think most of us DIS'ers can empathize with you on that. The only thing that helps is to plan the next one!!

Hi! I'm still reading along too :goodvibes

I had that dream/nightmare last year before my sister and I went to WDW.. people were asking us "how was your trip?" and I couldn't remember a thing about it :scared1: ... I get really blue on the last day too, usually right before the Magical Express bus arrives, or when we're packing the suitcases :sad2:

I'm hoping this December trip, I won't be too sad.. as I'll be back in 6 months time.. and married !! :cloud9: hehe

I just randomly found our TR and am very excited to be caught up and to read along on your adventure!!! DBF and I just returned Sunday from an amazing trip to WDW and I want to go back, so I will be living through your report to make the disney blues better :goodvibes I have LOVED your pictures so far and have to say I am from MA originally so I was excited to see you are from there too :thumbsup2

I think I might attempt to do a TR from our latest trip, I have never done one before so I may be asking you questions now because you look like a pro already!!

Haha, I am also horrible on the last day! Though I have a confession: on my first day, walking through the airport and seeing the folks leaving I felt very smug and glad I wasn't them. So I guess I deserve to feel bad on the last day, for having such jerky thoughts!

I had so many Disney nightmares before my trip. They usually involved not getting to the parks, or some other frustrating type thing. I hate those dreams!

Oh yeah,
LOVE the pink shoes!!
And congrats on one year!

Yay :) DisFriends are still here... I was starting to think I was falling into a non-dis funk. Depressing. Coming off of that dream too? Downright terrifying. I cant explain it - but I felt as if I slept through the whole trip... some people stress about work and sports... I freak out over blacking out a vacation and not remembering my dole whips and fireworks :lmao:

Im not your ONLY groupie ;) Im just the big mouth who wont shut up and let other people get a word in to you otherwise! No worries, either way im still going to keep yammering away - I'll just try not to dominate you with more questions!

Being a newlywed princess is one of the BEST ways to be. Im secretly SO excited to hear about your GF adventures and see all your pictures. You have to live in glass slippers and tiara's while you're there. I just cant IMAGINE a more perfect way to go.

Thanks :lovestruc that means a lot to me! I think you should most DEFINITLEY do a TR, and post a link when you do so I can read it! Id love to hear all about your trip ~ there are days when all of a sudden I burn up 3+ hours reading about everyones tips and tricks and funny stories. Im DEFINITLEY in to read- go get writing!! :goodvibes

Thank you! First one down is a good feeling... best way to celebrate is going to be at the California Grille on Thursday - im writing up that days plan later today or tonight ... and I need lots of help or ideas on how to surprise Kris (DH). I love your idea of the Ears to the Bride & Groom... but I didnt know that the 'surprise' was more of a note page. Lame. Looks like if I do anything... it will be booze-free ;)

Ive only had two types of stressed out dreams... this recurring one about not remembering an entire Disney vacation... and the other was me, walking down the aisle on my wedding day, and getting a bloody nose. Weird right?!

Ok - off to write up Thursday's plan... Thanks for reaching out you guys, Chat soon!

yum....Cali Grille! :cool1:

Please dont stop asking me questions or chatting on my PTR...if you did I would be talking to myself! :rotfl:

Happy Anniversary!! :bride:

*reaches through monitor and pulls your PTR out from the the clutches of page 4*

hey Chica...you leave in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!!!! :goodvibes:woohoo::banana:

Whats happening...whats going on...hows the packing...

You must have been busy this past saturday with a wedding, huh?

Good morning friends! :lovestruc

Forgive me for going MIA for a few days - Late September and Early October weddings are some of the most popular here in New England - and Ive been busy shooting and editing lots of fall brides. I have the next two days off, so im eager to share some of my Thursday plans with you for our upcoming trip - and as always ask for some tips or advice for extra magic ;) Either way, im going head-first back into the DISboards today, so im sure you'll see more of me around again! :rotfl: Before that, wanted to share two images I took the other day at a great wedding venue. These are from the top of the Hyatt Harborside in Cambridge, MA overlooking Boston. Check out a great view of the Prudential building from the head table, and a cute one of the bride and groom with some details...

Fun, huh? If you guys like them ill keep sharing a few fun details from weddings now and then, but dont want to take over the Dischat... just sharing what im working on lately!

Okay- Thursday morning (10/28) of our trip promises to be a WILD day :lmao: I know... hilarious. Its Animal Kingdom Day!

010-Copy2.jpg

Kristopher will almost definitely make a run for Expedition Everest to get us some fast passes, and then meet up with us heading over to the Kilimanjaro Safari. Dont hate me for saying so.. but the Safari is not exactly on the TOP of my Must-Do list. Ive done it many times, and truly believe it is a stellar safari ride... but Big Red and Little Red end up all right... and the highlight of the safari has now become my brother - yelling "JESS... LOOKOUT POCHAA'S " all day. I know. So, if I miss it or somehow convince my travel party to go without me... I wont be heart broken. Id like to score some Cheetah mickey ears to rock out with all day... hmmm... I hope they still make the pink ones...

So, for whatever reason its become family tradition to stop into...
pizzafari.jpg

for lunch. We always end up buying more pizza than we eat, and mom will inevitably do two things. 1. order a salad & 2.comment on the paper/cardboard straws. Eric will still be yelling about Pocha's... Dad will be trying TO Poach someones chocolate lava cake... Allie will be laughing and counting her pins - while Kris and I smile and love life just a little bit more. Im telling you, its these things that get me through the crazy days. Expect photos! ;)

After lunch the next must is the Mombasa market place where we will buy salad tongs to use in the bitter months of winter, and smile about our trip. Then in the heat of the day get soaked* on Kali River Rapids. (*It is also important to note that to avoid soak-age, two things must be considered. First, dont sit next to Dad. He WILL get soaked. Second, mom WILL have an embarassing full-body poncho in her backpack that day... be the first to claim it, and you're dry.) Its survival for us as much as the animals on AK day.

Around 330 or so, Kris and I will bail out and bus back to the Wilderness to rest briefly, clean up, and head over to our 545 reservation at the California Grill to celebrate our first anniversary. He has never even stepped foot in the Contemporary, so if we get there early I hope to get a drink in the lounge before being taken to our table. Sunset time is exactly 644pm in Orlando on this day - so Im hoping that just as we finish our dinner, we can pause for sunset over the castle before dessert. Ive also heard that the observation deck is kind of mediocre for fireworks-viewing... so I think after dinner ill lure him to the Polynesian with promises of Dole Whips and Hammocks ... then stay and watch the wishes from the Poly beach. I hope that we can catch the HalloWishes while we're there, so maybe this is the night to do that instead. Ill check it out... either way, his favorite park, a full steak dinner, ice cream, a hammock, fireworks AND his best girl? Im thinking he'll be in a pretty good mood after this day... might be good to do my shopping Friday morning! :rotfl:

IMG_2800.jpg

So- as I wrap this up and start to drag my feet... its getting harder and harder to end my PTR because I know the trip will go SO fast. I still need to mail my box of treats down to the WL (glow sticks, stickers, halloween decorations, pins, candy, etc) - pack my suitcase(s)... charge the camera - and OH.. almost forgot. Mom and Dad gave Kris and I a digital video camera for our anniversary... so THATS coming along too to be played with! Great idea, right?! We're excited. Last time I caught Eric doing the Sheriff Woody deputy initiation in MK on my camera... it ended up on facebook! Should make for some good catches.

More soon!! XO Thanks for stopping by ::MinnieMo

And randomly...

Happy Halloween! This is a picture of my boss's dog from last week. She was all decked out from the groomer in her Halloween attire. Now, The dog is SO adorable - but wildly annoying. She is a teacup yorkie and when she isnt yipping, shes peeing on the carpet. I know. Maybe she should have dressed up as a little devil instead... ;)

Either way, I thought it was a fun pic- and I keep telling you guys im a photographer and not posting any professional pics. Again, like a deadbeat. So - just to make you smile, here's Pippa... saying Happy Halloween from the studio! :thumbsup2

4.jpg

Your AK day sounds like a lot of fun! Hallowishes from the Poly beach, Dole Whip in hand sounds AMAZING!
The dog is adorable, but yippy sounds right for a teacup yorkie! I've never been a fan of such tiny dogs. I think the high-pitchedness would drive me crazy!

Y'know what I'm doing today?

IM DOING THE SINGLE DIGIT DANCE! WOO HOO!!

YAY for single digit dance!!! I am so excited to hear about the dinner at Cali grill and I hope you guys have a great time :goodvibes

Side note I did see some pink cheetah ears when we were there late last month, so hopefully you can snag some of those :thumbsup2

And the wedding pictures...and of course the adorable dog...are amazing!!
