I will send the FE people this way to come get you... there is an adult list and a family list. each are run by different folks.

There is rumblings to cut off the family list to boot.

The adult only FE is still open until the end of July I believe. Not sure about the family one, I don't think it's closed but there was talk of splitting it into 2 groups if it got too big.

By the way - just in case you didn't know apparently we are leaving from the Pan American Pier in San Juan and not the Pier 4 in Old San Juan.

Disney confirmed this with us on the phone this evening and they haven't changed any of the details on line yet (if they ever do).

ATTENTION - Disney Magic Docking San Juan, Puerto Rico

After a few phone calls we now have more information.
DCL planned for our ship to be docked at the Pan American Pier all along but failed to alter any on line information or inform each individual as they booked.
It seems that the on line info in your reservation ie (Driving Directions plus Pre Cruise information) giving the docking as Pier 4 Old San Juan is for the Disney Fantasy NOT the Disney Magic.

We spoke to a DCL representative plus 2 supervisors who say they are not responsible for the online information and we were advised to email with our complaint to this address:

I would advise anybody that has booked non refundable hotels and excursions to contact them at this address and voice your concerns regarding transfers between Old San Juan and Pan American Pier.

We have been told by others on Facebook that taxi’s in Puerto Rico have a strong Union and frown on hotels having their own shuttle service so imagine the chaos on port arrival/departure days on a limited taxi service on the island. Also that the taxi firms go on strike very easily and a strike may be due soon!

We have requested that as it’s a Disney error they should either arrange shuttles to get us from one place to another or dock the ship in Old San Juan. I know some of you have Disney Transfers so this doesn’t impact on your arrangements but for the high percentage of others who booked arrangements on the information Disney provided this will add a little extra expense to the holiday but mainly it will add A LOT of aggravation as lots of people will be demanding taxi’s.

I think we just need a break from Disney for a bit and try a few other cruise lines out there.

So, we've just cancelled a CAT 10A - Obstructed on Deck 5 - 5020. The least of the obstructed - basically the same as a CAT9A ,but at a CAT 10A price. If anyone is interested.

Sorry you won't be coming... there were two families that we've cruised with multiple times that have dropped out in the past week.

I guess that means we are going solo.

CHANGE OF PORT - still awaiting an email reply from Disney but have just gone into the DCL web site and on our reservation driving directions and port arrival guide. The port has been changed to Pan American but the driving directions will still take you to Old San Juan Pier 4.....how incompetent is that. I am shocked at how they can't do this simple thing.

As far as we are aware the Disney Magic will be using the Pan American for the whole time she is in and out of San Juan.
Have yet to hear back from emails sent to DCL end of last week. I will post reply when I get it unless someone beats me to it.

It will be interesting to compare replies.

Hi there! On the Facebook group we were discussing the Mixology class and we want to set up a second one if there is enough interest. I still have to check with Disney to see if they can accomodate another one. If you are interested, could you please add your names to this Google Doc?

When we have the minimum of 25 people (I think max is 40?), I'll send the request to DCL for the private tasting. If they are able to accomodate us, I will need everyone's stateroom and confirmation number info to give to them. The price last year was $15 per person on the Fantasy. I'm assuming that the price will be similar to that.

2 months, 6 days until we sail! Seems like I have been waiting forever. . . oh wait, I have! The pains of booking on opening day.

I think people want to close the Family Fish Extender list and open a last minute group for anyone who still wants to join so if you are still on the fence, now's the time to jump!
