Magical sewage back up!

Don's Family vacations is reporting of a nice instance of sewage back up on the Magic. Disgusting as h*ll. Is the Magic just old and needs to be retired or is this an isolated incident with Disney? I would want a 100% refund.

In watching the actual video, all that was said was "the sewage backed up in a few cabins" That can happen when people put stuff in the toilet that's not supposed to go there. Not that rare.

It's not from any Disney ship, and I'm confident to say not from a cruise ship at all.

Cruise ship toilets don't have visible cisterns nor would there be a basket next to it - that's very much a home setup.

Ya, not from the Magic, but the story is legit. Read up on it, this incident from a couple days ago. Room numbers like in the 6500's. But it's also not the first backup on the Magic. Didn't really realize that. Does the age of the ship contribute greatly to these incidents?

Not really.. As PrincessShmoo said, probably someone put something in the plumbing that didn't belong. The toilets are similar to airplanes, negative pressure.

Define ‘credible.’ We call him ‘Donnie Downer’ because he always whines like eeyore and definitely sensationalizes every little thing he can with his own mostly negative slant. His anti port stance on cruise port cities deciding to limit cruise ships is incredibly ill informed and cringy. But so was his stance on covid hurting the industry. The fact he used a picture like that implying it was the Magic is not credible but in character. He’s not a fan of Disney though because of price.

He is very credible. What he said is true. It is not a photo of a DCL bathroom. Must have found a stock photo or where he got the info did and he just used the photo assuming it was the Magic.

I would have to disagree since he posted a picture that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with a cruise ship. Doing that blows his credibility right out the window.
