Magical Reindeer food

Here is a quick recipe for magical reindeer food that can be sprinkled outside on Christmas Eve.


1 cup sugar

1 cup instant oatmeal

1 cup glitter

mix together and sprinkle liberally outside for Santa's reindeer.

If pets or wild animals are apt to eat this magical treat, please leave out the glitter as it can do damage to animals. Santa's reindeers will still enjoy this treat.

We make this yearly!

Believe it or not, DD (16) and DS (12) just asked me the other week if I'll be making it again so they can sprinkle it on the ground . . . I'm not sure if they are humoring me or what, but I nearly Figures, I'm all out of glitter too . . .and it has to be red . . .since the reindeer see it better.

In additon to what you use, we also include colored candy sprinkles (ice cream topping) and puffed rice.
