I have a few questions about YOUR experiences with magical mornings.... First off... if the opening time posted on the website is 8:00 am does that mean magical mornings are at 7:00??? or are they at 8? So is it 1 hour before the posted opening time is what i am getting at.... also.. What is a relistic amount of rides to expect to do in that hour if you arrive when MM's start and dont "run" to eat ride just make your way around at a decent pace??? i know it all depends on what rides you choose and stuff like that... but just give me some of your experiences and what you were able to do... and any tips would be great!

Depending on what you want to do, you can get quite a lot done on a MM. It starts an hour before the listed opening time (so if the park is listed to open at 9, MM starts at 8). I hit the rides in Fantasyland, and even stopping to do photos along Main Street/Central Plaza I still managed to go through all the open rides in Fantasyland multiple times.

I am usually able to accomplish the following in a typical MM if I am at the front of the turnstile lines and one of the first down Main Street:

In this order:

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Alice
Matterhorn
Teacups
Toad
Buzz
Space

And then I grab a FP for Space as the park is opening at 8 am.

when we did magic morning on a Saturday we rode basically everything except peter pan as it broke down. walked onto Space mountain and as we were walking out of space everyone was running for space so we wandered over to Splash and we rode it 4 times in a row without getting off as the weather was slightly overcast.

We do almost the exact thing with maybe Matterhorn before Alice. Get a fast pass for Space then do Casey Jr (DD's fave!) Then maybe the canal boats all in by 30 minutes past original opening

Recently, the hours on the website actually do include MM hours specifically. So it will show the main hours, then Magic Morning hours.

Since MM mainly involves Fantasyland, most poeple will "walk with purpose" over there, and get in line asap for Peter Pan (since that line builds quickly). If you're staying onsite and have more than the one MM included with your 3+ day ticket, some people will ride Nemo during the beginning of MM instead of Fantasyland.

Basically just be there early so you're amongst the first in the park, walk with purpose, have a plan (and with Fantasyland MM there's really just one plan, unless you don't like any of the rides), and have fun.

Here is the main MM thread. :)

This is also our preferred order....(probably because Dangermouse recommended it to me ;)).

A few thoughts:

- If you REALLY like the Matterhorn (like we do)...ride both sides of the Matterhorn (one side then the other). And because we enjoy riding both sides we normally do Alice before Matterhorn since Alice is a slow loader.
- If you aren't one of the first on Peter Pan, you'll get stuck in line & lose valuable minutes...we're always one of the first on.
- Pinocchio, Snow White & the Carousel can be ridden at other times with short or moderate lines....BUT...you can ride them during MM if you feel like it. (but we prefer to ride Buzz & SM instead the last 20 minutes of MM)

Our last MM experience.....DS9 (or I) didn't want to ride Dumbo, the Teacups or the Carousel:

- PP (one of the first on...no line). skipped Dumbo
- Alice - no line.
- Matterhorn - 20 second wait.
- Matterhorn (other side) - 1-2 min. wait.
- Toady
- Buzz twice.
- Space Mountain.

- Then picked up a SM FP at :02.

BallerinaMom, I like your idea of doing Storybookland after picking up the SM FP at :02. I always seem to miss out on Storybookland because there always seems to be a (slow loading) line the 4-6 times we walk by later in the morning or afternoon/evening.

Is it up & running at :06? Is there any line that early?

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Hound-
It opens up a little later. Don't think it;s an exact time. Just when they get the boats out. But we find we can slip in Casey Jr or Alice (again :rolleyes1)or Teacups while we are waiting. Then we are right there when they open :cool1:
