Just read about this in another post...has anyone used them with their kids? Apparently, they cost about $20 and play games associated with attractions in the parks. Thank you....

I bought this for my daughter before we left for our recent trip, and it was a lot of fun. The questions are great, and can be programmed to ask you about rides you are on, etc. For example, it might ask " What is the name of the garden next to Cinderella Castle" while you are walking through Fantasy land. It also has a general Disney trivia category about movies, Walt, etc. It kept the kids busy and I really enjoyed it myself. You will be surprised how much you know by the end of the trip, and it really makes you pay attention!

Where do you buy it??? WE will be arriving Saturday 8/23 and plan to have dinner at Chef Mickey's. Do they sell it at the Contemporary? Thank you...

The magical moments games that I've seen are gameboy type things, rather than trivia games. For example, I seem to remember that the IASW dolls try to attack you in that game. They were only available on Disney property and not at the Disney Stores. The trivia game sounds different (but fun!).

Sounds like fun for all ages...
I would like to get one for my trip...
Day after tomorrow...

Yes, they are available in all the parks. The are small, shaped like Mickey's head, of course. You can buy one in the resorts, too. Now that I think of it, I might be talking about something different than the OP, but this one is great.

There is both a trivia and a game-boy type MM game. I bought the game-boy type and have already lost it to my nieces :(
But it has different games themed to different attractions. There is a Test Track ride where you try to come to a stop before hitting a wall; RnRC where you avoid hitting signs in your car; BTMRR which is like a Super Mario Bros; IASW where you have to catch musical notes from dolls; ToT where you run from ghosts on elevators; HM where you do something else with ghosts (never figured that one out); HISTA, like a Tetris; and a bunch of others I have forotten since my niece swiped it!
But you can either cheat and activate all the games at once, or wait until you near each attraction and they activate for you. It is very entertaining, but if you're used to X-box action, I don't know if the 1992 gameboy graphics will be right for you.

I bought one last September at Disneyquest (only place I saw it last year) and it was well worth the $20.00. DS (7) who is a video game freak thought it was really cool and had it with him all the time while at WDW (kept him busy on the plane ride home also).

Very neat idea by Disney, great souvenior.

Disney "magic" activates the games at each individual ride. Being the patient person I am, I couldn't wait that long (plus we were in our final days of the trip and not going back to some parks). There is a key sequence that activates all the games at once and its listed in the instruction book that comes with the game.

They sell both of these games on gifts of a lifetime webpage. I'm going to buy them and put them in my kids Christmas stockings. I hope they can wait till we get to the parks to activate them. The magical moments was 25.00 and the trivia game was 20. I can't wait. They also sold pal mickey for 65.00. I think we might just rent him. My kids are too old :( for this doll. But I'm not.;)

Thanks for the info. I hadnt even heard of the Magical Moments game. We already planned on getting Pal Mickey for our trip in October, and I think that we may get the MM game also. Maybe Ill preorder it if Im able to. Its my DD birthday next month.Ill try that Gifts of a Lifetime site that you mentioned. Thanks again.

I've heard the newer Magical Moments pins have games of some kind. Are those similar to the Magical Moments handheld game? I'm getting confused with all this stuff they offer :)

I love the light-up pins that came out during the 100 Years!!
