Magical Moments hand held

Sorry if this isn't the place to post this, but I thought maybe someone here might collect this game, and might know if it still works.

Family and I are planning a trip to WDW (YAY!) in September (if we can get the free dining plan offer like last year ) or October of this year. Oldest child was given a Magical Moments hand held game. I think it was made quite a while ago, its a red and black Mickey-head-shaped unit, it is New in Box, never used. Now I know that by pressing the buttons in a certain order I can "unlock" all of the games, but it would be so much more fun for her to be able to have them "magically" unlock in the parks. Has anyone been to the parks recently with one of these or does anyone know if the little activation sensors are still active in the parks? TIA for any info!
PS: If any of you have seen this posted on the disney for families board, sorry for the cross post... wasn't getting any help over there.

Hi Tanya!

I believe that this may be outdated. The newest thing the past two years has been "Pal Mickey" and he is fantastic in the parks. The sensors that are located all over the place are programmed to make him go off, so I am unsure if the game you are referring to would even work there any longer. I can tell you this for certain, I did not see anything like that when we went this past September. Hope this helps!
