Let me start by saying I knew of YOMD before we went to WDW this past October and December. So, every time I saw the Dream Team my heart would skip a beat and I would have a look in my eye like, "pick us". However, that is not how our "Magical Moments" happened. They were all by chance.

:tink: First . . . We were in front of the Fish 'n Chips shop in Epcot trying to have DS7 take a picture of the rest of the family when some nice CMs walked by. One asked if we'd like her to take our photo. Once she took the photo, our DS7 and DD5 started talking about pins and wanted to pin trade. She had one pin on her lanyard that was turned backwards. So, you couldn't see what the pin was. She said DS7 would have to blindly trade for the pin. He was intrigued and said okay. This is what he got:

DD5 was given a pin from one of the other CMs. I didn't notice it until we got home, but she was given a special :tink: Tinker Bell pin from the other CM. It is not one of those keep one give one. It is a different one. We got one of the other Tinker Bell pins on our Disney Cruise last year from a CM at Guest Services on a whim. We went to ask for something and she said hold on I have something for you and came back with the pin set. We gave one to our DD5 and then she gave the other one to the little girl that was seated at our table for dinner. In case someone is wondering, you can get :tink: Magical Moments on the cruises too. DS7 has a special Who Wants to be a :earsboy: Mouseketeer pin too.

:tink: Second . . . We were near the :fish: Nemo show at AK when I had to change DS2's diaper. So, I went off with him and left DH with DS7 and DD5. When I met back up with them DS7 and DD5 were holding plush Crush and Squirt dolls. A CM gave the dolls to them for a Magical Moment. They were beaming when I saw them. They were is shock someone just gave them the dolls. They sleep with those dolls to this date. Even the seven year old.

:tink: Third . . . We were in Frontierland in MK when a CM walked by asking our children if they like cotton candy.:cloud9: When they stated yes, she gave them a free bag.

:tink: Fourth . . . I was getting DD5 and DS2 chicken nuggets at Epcot. I know with all the wonderful food, they still wanted McDonalds. I was given a free McFlurry.:woohoo:

:tink: Fifth . . . Not an "official" MM, DS7 and DD5 were given certificates as co-skippers of our :boat: boat from SSR to DTD.

:tink: Sixth . . . Not an "official" MM, but we got to ride in the front of the monorail both times we rode it in December. DS7 and DD5 got co-pilot certicates and trading cards.

:tink: Seventh . . . We received a signed card and balloons in our hotel room from princess: Cinderella and Prince Charming for our Anniversary.

:tink: Eighth . . . Free dessert at Wolfgang Puck Cafe' for our Anniversary.

:tink: Ninth . . . Unofficial MM, DD5 was Boo and DH was the invisible man for the Monster Inc. Comedy Show.

:tink: Tenth . . . Unofficial MM, DD5 and DS2 got to speak with Crush at Turtle Talk with Crush.

I didn't realize how many Magical Moments we had until I sat down and started typing. We had the best time. It will be hard to beat our past WDW trips. We are now DVC members and will have many years to come to add to the Magical Memories.

We saw lots of people with Dream Fastpasses and YOMD Mickey ears. However, the Dream Fastpasses were not needed while we were there. We did well with the regular fastpasses or none at all. The first week in December in itself was magical for us. We highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

We are going to WDW this April to surprise DS7 for his 8th birthday. We're not expecting more Magical Moments. Being at WDW will be magical enough. But, we'll post if we do experience more MM.

Everyone have a great time on your upcoming Disney trips. We wish you all the best on your quest for some Magical Moments of your own. Someone wished us well on our past WDW trip. We are passing on the magic to you all. :tink: Let's keep the magical going . . .

Wow! Sounds like you all had a awesome trip. See even the little extra magical moments can give you great memories!

:goodvibes Thank you to everyone for your congrats. I had fun reading through the YOMD posts before we left for our trips. It was fun actually having something to report back on. :woohoo: Whether we win anything or not in April, we'll still be at the Happiest Place on Earth. We can't wait! :cool1:

That is so awesome Jennifer!!!!!! I'm glad that you guys had such a great time!!! I can't think of a family more deserving of Disney Magic :wizard: than you guys are!!!!!!

Congratulations!I see by your pictures that at least you got to meet some of the Dream Squad, even though they weren't in "prize-giving,white vest wearing" mode.:)

Yes, we saw a few of the blue-shirted folks during out trip. But, we never encountered any of the white-vested prize givers. :sad2:

We were never at any of the parks at rope drop or early in the morning. So, that may have also been why we didn't win any real YOMD prizes. Maybe, in April? We have some rope drop and early days planned. :woohoo:

Awesome, glad it was so great!

Send some of that pixie dust my way for our trip on the 24th!

:dance3:

We just got back, today is our first day home.

We had three "magical moments." Nothing major, but still very nice.

The first was in DinoLand in Animal Kingdom. We were the family of the hour, and we got to ride Dino Mite Spinner two times without having to get off. And the kids were given dinosaur masks to wear.

The second was at Hollywood Studios. I purchased some things and had them sent to the front of the park to pick up before we left. I was the package pick up of the hour, and I got a special pixie dust pin.

The third was at AK. We were waiting for the Flights of Wonder bird show to start, and we were talking to the guy out front with the owl, and another CM came up and asked the kids if they'd like to do the curtain call. So they got to open the curtain and yell "On with the show!"

We got certificates for all that stuff too, so that'll be a nice way to remember those things.

DS8 also made his own picture at RNR Coaster, where he got to go behind the counter and put on a Junior Cast Member jacket. Again, another "magical moment." If I hadn't just gotten off the coaster, I would have had my camera (which was waiting outside with daddy) and I totally would have taken a picture!!
