So far this morning I have read about:

Waking up Tinkerbelle (MK)
Decorating the Christmas Tree at the Christmas Shoppe (MK)
Becoming a Viking for the Day (Epcot)

and in the past:
Being chosen as the family to be the Grand Marshalls
Opening the parks

What other magical moments are there? For Kids? For Adults?

My daughter has been picked out of the crowds to dance in the parades with the characters. Last January while walking through Frontierland they were dancing and they picked all 7 of us to come and square dance and hokey pokey with them. 3 DS ran for the store, DH and 2 DD danced and I manned the cameras. I got aome good picutres! At MGM 3 of my kids were chosen to be soldiers with the green army men. Also at MGM DD and DS were sung to and talked to at Disney Playhouse. DS who was almost 15 was not even mortified he got into it! This is a good thread, helps me recall those special times.

my dd, then age 4, was chosen to open the pool at the Contemporary resort one morning. She wore a wizard hat with mouse ears, had a wand and sang a special song. the hotel staff took lots of pictures of her and e-mailed them to me, as well as giving her a certificate. It was a highlight of the trip.

There are many Magical Moments all over WDW. For instance, my DS was once chosen as "Jr Chef" at the American Pavilion...he was invited behind the counter, donned a white chef's coat and paper chef's hat, then shown various areas and how things worked behind the counter and then he was shown how to make a special ice cream sundae for himself, complete with red and blue star-shaped sprinkles. He got to keep the paper hat, along with a Goofy coloring page and the Magical Moments Certificate.

Another time he was chosen to help run the water-balloon race game at AK's Dinoland. He wore a child sized shirt to match the CM costumes, which had a (large) "CM" badge on it that said Honorary Cast Member. He was shown how to set all the water pistols, start the race, and award the prize to the winner.

There are several different Magical Moments at the Safari as well, including 'Official Game Spotter".

I was once chosen myself...I had to stand in front of Ice Station Cool and beckon passerby to come inside :p

All Magical Moments are totally random, and are a nice suprise when they happen :)

Just returned from POR (3/27), our Magical Moment was finding a beautiful Mickey and Minnie towel sculpture in our room on our anniversary. What a wonderful surprise to end the perfect day!

but on our trip 2 years ago, we were coming home (AKL) late from Fantasmic and our bus was very crowded and there was a good bit of traffic. My 7 year old daughter was sitting near the front and our bus driver asked her if she would do the announcments ("Next Stop, the Animimal Kingdom"). My daughter is usually very shy but she loved doing this and still talks about it. Its the little Disney Magic that we really remember!

my magical moment was being on Main St. with my dh, 2 dds',my dmom, and ddad. We were watching the Spectromagic parade (not my first time, but parents first time) and I looked over and saw my father's face and saw pure joy and wonder. I've always loved that parade and now it will mean even more to me.
