Thought you all might like to see a 5 year-old's day being made last month. We arrived at WDW without a PS for CRT, we honestly hadn't talked about wanting to go back there until about a week before our trip. I called before we left and asked WDW-Dine if they "wanted a good laugh" and asked if there were any CRT cancellations for the time we were there. They said "no", as we expected. During our stay, my wife called again for "yucks" and she expected the usual response. The CM said "Well, I do have one cancellation." Without asking the time, my wife responded with, shall we say, zeal "We'll take it!!!". It was for two mornings later.
The PS was for 8:55. Would they let us in before the park opened? Yes, we got there around 8:45 and were waved in. We got a nice photo of the kids sitting on Main St. with the Castle in the background without another person in sight.
The one character that our youngest son was on a mission to see was Peter Pan. We'd encountered him at CRT in a couple past visits and told "C" that there was a chance that we'd see him at breakfast. Unfortunately for C, featured that day were: Cindy, Aurora, Snow White, Mary Poppins, and Belle.
Well, Belle took a strong liking to C... Love At First Sight
And gave him a special "souvenir"... One on the Cheek
In conversation with her, we mentioned to Belle that C was hoping to see Peter Pan and asked her if she knew where he likes to hang out nowadays. She said that he's frequently seen in Cinderella's stage show in from the of the castle.
Later, as we where leaving the CRT dining area, we crossed paths and with Belle again and said something about being off to try and find Peter. Belle said "Wait over there for a few minutes." We figured that she was up to something but didn't know what. The area she had us wait was the area by the top of the staircase. The CM wait-staff wasn't quite sure what to make of us just standing there. They didn't know if we were lost, had just been called upstairs, or had slipped past the front desk. Each time someone asked "May I help you?" we'd say "Belle told us to wait here..." and they'd reply "O.K." and then moved on.
After a few moments Belle returned and sat and talked to C (Note the orange juice stain down the front of C!)... Returning Fire!
After a couple minutes of chatting, Belle told C "Come follow me! Sometime you can see Peter Pan flying around the castle." We walked over to the clear stained glass windows at the back of thr room. Belle said us to look around and keep an eye out... Keeping an Eye Peeled
After a minute or so, out of the door at the right side of the balcony out fell Capt. Hook with Peter Pan giving chase. Hook ran by, but Peter stopped came over to the window by where Belle and C were waiting and Peter put his face to the glass said "Hi!" and waved at C... Hi There! After a second or two Peter resumed his "chase" of Hook. C was overjoyed!... Day Made
We thanked Belle and a final round of hugs where exchanged.
After we left CRT, C sprinted out ahead of us. We had no idea what he was up to. He ran out the back exit of the castle and looked skyward to try and find Peter again!... Where Is He?
It was a great start to the day. Later my wife went to Guest Relations and found out when Peter was to be outside POTC and we had a nice chat with Wendy and him there!
