I'm a newbie on this matter, first time renting a vacation home. As you all know, there are so many of these vacation homes it can be quite overwhelming. I've seen this company and they seem pretty reasonable but I would like to know if anyone here as used them in the past that can recommend them? They seem to only want a $100 deposit. They don't mention where they are located but claim that the nearest is 5 miles from DW and the farthest is 8 miles. Anyone ever stayed at one of their homes? I'd appreciate any information.

I can't comment on the company specifically, but I will make a couple of general rental home comments.

First, the homes are not owned by the management company. The MC is only acting as an agent for the owner, so you can't make any blanket statements about "one of their homes." Even though two homes may use the same MC, the homes may be very different in their layouts, amenities, condition, etc.

Second, before sending a deposit, you should find out exactly what house you are booking. You should see pictures, or even better video, of the actual house you are renting. The company will not tell you the actual address of the house but they will tell you in what development it is located.

Third, before sending a deposit, get the company policy regarding when final payment is due, what forms of payment they accept, what their cancellation policy is, etc. Renting a house is NOT like booking a hotel room. You can't cancel the morning of your arrival and get your money back. Make sure you know the rules up front.

Renting a home, in our opinion, is the best way to do Disney. Once you do it, you may never want to stay in a hotel again. Good luck.

Some mc s won't tell you in advance where you are staying because it gives them a bit of flexibilty in where they put you and it is not unknown for larger ones to over book for the number of homes they have so then have to search around for the homes in the first place -so again can't tell you where you'll be. As steve says the homes are only managed by the company and as such cannot run the risk of having you no show or cancel at the very last minute like an hotel so as he says ask what their policy is and when they need the final balance usually 6-10 weeks..Unfortunately the real test of a company is how they deal with you and their owners and that is something you can't tell from a website beleive me I have had the largest in the area look after my home and they were bad.If you are happy with how they want to do business and they have a home where you want at at price you want to pay then take it -you won't regret it .
