Anybody know how to get one? Do they sell them onboard? I have never seen one.

Never heard of this!! Sounds interesting!

A Magical Memories certificate is given out to guests for special "events". We have gotten them several times, both at WDW, and on the ship. We were the 100th Family in The Plaza Restaurant, so the Mayor came in, made a big announcemnet, had pictures taken, and was given the certificate. On the cruise my kids got one for being the best pin traders on board. The CM's do it to make your vacation more magical. My kids love getting them. I am pretty sure it is a random thing, and that you cannot buy them.

I got one on our last cruise. We had told the DISers on our cruise that we were celebrating an anniversary of our first date and one of them put a sign on our door. A CM must have saw it because a couple days later we got a Magical Memories certificate. It will look great in my scrapbook!!

My DH & DD & I were on the 4/3 Eastern when my DD6 received one! We were in Mickey's Mates on the first night of the cruise when my daughter struck up a conversation with one of the CMs. She told the CM that she had lost her tooth that morning as we were leaving Pop Century to drive to Port. She wondered if Tinkerbell knew the Tooth Fairy. She asked the CM to ask Tinkerbell to remind the Tooth Fairy to come & get her tooth that night. That night, when we returned from dinner, there was a Magical Memories Certificate outside our stateroom door! The certificate had been decorated with a green glitter trail & had a tinkerbell pin pinned to the bottom! It said something like "From Pop Century to the Sea....Magical Memories of losing your tooth." It really made our entire trip so much more magical!

What a sweet story..........do you think I could pull one of my dd's teeth before we board??? She's only 8 ??? I think we will try :p

So I should definately let them know it will be my dad's 68th birthday on board?!!

Thanks!

Thanks Hopelea - You gave me a chuckle about pulling the tooth. - Mike

You're not thinking of pulling his teeth out, are you??????
Can just picture you holding up his dentures and saying, "Dad lost his teeth today!"

Hey, if it will work.........I'm game......he's 68 how many teeth does he need?? We could do dentures!!!! :):rotfl: Of course you know I am kidding and was talking about my 8 year old DAUGHTER :p

They used to give a MM certificate to the kids they chose to do the countdown at embarkation time. They stopped doing that quite a while back, and I still miss it. It was really cute to have kids count down the seconds until boarding started. It was a very "Disney" thing to do.

We got one last October from the Shutters staff, along with an autographed picture of captain Mickey and another autographed picture of the ship by the Captain.

Needless to say they knew me by name in Shutters :teeth: I had all of my film developed on board, and bought a TON of the pictures on board because they were great and make awesome family Christmas gifts.

It was a complete surprise to me the last morning of our cruise and was awesome!!
