I have been wanting to go back to Disney since my honeymoon. We went there my DH and I in October after our wedding, and were wet and frozen. It was a freak thing, there had been 90 degree weather and no rain for 30 days before we got there, so we just hit it bad. People were in the parks in winter coats, and it was never above 50 except one day. So, I booked a trip in FEB and was talked out of it to instead go with friends to South Beach. It was nice, but It wasn't Disney. So, when I saw a great air fair deal, My journey began!
I booked flights Wed May 11th to Wed May 18th, I was thinking, one week, I can keep the costs down and have a good time. I went through intervale for a getaway weekend and found out I had to book on Thursday to Thursday, but still got a great deal. Marriott Grand Vista.
I used my points at Holiday Inn in DTD for our arrival night. So far every night of hotel is costing me 40.00 or less. Not shabby!
Then... I though well, we ARE already in FL and I DO have the whole week off, so why not stay to Sunday the 22nd?? LOL.
SO now the airfair is not as great a deal (129.00) each well, but still super decent.
Just have to find a spot for the last 3 nights. Im considering Laquinta as I have one night I can get for points and 15.00 - but Im holding out that Disney will send me a PIN and get to stay on property for a few days.. (well a girl can wish for some magic!)
We plan on cooking at the MGV to save some money, there is a fridge, sink and micro but no stove so we will pick up a electric fry pan, and will brown bag most of our lunches.. But I am looking forward to grits at the Waffle House...
I think Im most looking forward to the new Star Wars ride! woo hoo!
