Magical Grand Gathering Trip with Pics. Completed

Nicole that picture of the male card on the trick or treat trail made me laugh. He looks really thrilled!LOL! Sounds like party night turned out good after all.So you could have come with us?!!!!!!!!! MEN! We'll definitely be doing it again so maybe next time!

Great update! How funny, I have only ever attended MNSSHP with DD (who was 4 at the time), and she "enjoyed" the 2nd parade as well sound asleep in her stroller! :rotfl:

We weren't planning on staying after the fireworks, but shortly after they ended she was passed out in the stroller so I said, why not? And she didn't wake up either!

I agree - that parade is the absolute best!

It's better than them missing important school work I guess. But they have so much more fun at Disney anyway. Kayle would probably complain about missing fun stuff at school  . She was sad when we went in march because she missed Friday and they were having easter parties. Seriously what could she possibly miss :confused3 eating junk with her friends. So your kids don't fall asleep at the nutcracker? One of mine did. I can't believe it's time for your trip already! Are you packed yet?

For the most part yes. :goodvibes Nope, didn't fall asleep during the nutcracker but one fell asleep during the Walking w/ the Dinosaurs show that cost more than $50 a person! :sad2: They begged me tonight to go ahead and go now...school will be there when we get back they said. :rotfl2: They must really think money grows on trees. (I wish!)

That card is not in the Disney spirit at all ;) . Of course my DH said " oh you should have went to Disney" on saturday. What was wrong with thinking it was a great idea months ago when I first told him about it. He suddenly decided he could handle the kids himself :confused3 . next time I will put my foot down :snooty: , I need a break sometime.

I love that parade. Glad you got to stay. I guess 4 year olds just can't stay up that late no matter what :) .

Glad to hear your almost done packing. I wish we had a money tree too :lmao: that is and ongoing joke in our house right now with the economy. Kids really have no idea what broke means. But they shouldn't have to :) that is what I tell Tom anyway.
 :yay: :dance3: thanks for sharing your info...
really nice pics..and worth reading..

:welcome: to my trip report. Thanks for reading :goodvibes .

I'm so glad you got to experience the party without all the rain, it looks like youb had a great time.

I love the pictures of Minnie's sofa, that is such a good idea to do. I love the second one of Kaleigh and Thomas where they are sitting on opposite ends, where as the year before there all cuddley. Its so cute, it shows real brother/sister reliationship growing through the years.

The parade looks amazing, I would love to see it. The special parades they put on are alwasy so great. I loved the PPP one, and the fireworks were amazing. The Halloween fireworks we have just seen at DLRP were amazing too, Disney really out do themselves for these special events. Its such a shame they are not doing the PPP next year, I was looking forward to that.

I cannot believe what Thomas did with the Wheezy toy, that is too funny. I think you are going to have to watch that boy, he seems very clever. And I love Kaleigh with her bag, that girls got sass.

While I was in line I noticed a little girl who looked familiar. Then realized it was Sara (mom2mek) with her DD Emily. She was surprised to see us at MNSSHP this night since she knew we would be at the Thursday night party. So we chatted very quickly as the line was moving. Then we boarded the ride. I let the kids ride together again but told Kaylee not to spin it too much with her little brother. Of course Tom had the higher score again.[/COLOR]

After I took the Zurg pic, Sara was just coming out of the Buzz. I really only got a minute to talk with her as Thomas was pulling me over to the toy section in the shop and Tom made sure he got out of that store quickly so he didn't have to put up with Thomas wanting everything  . If everyone wasn't running in 3 different directions I would have at least like to get a picture with her. Sara and her DD are just as pretty in person and it was nice to meet them even though it was brief.

Awww thanks! That is very sweet! It was great seeing you too, even if it was brief and in motion! LOL! :lmao:

Hi Sara,
Welcome back :goodvibes . I can't wait to hear all about the girls trip. I told Tom I was annoyed with him since I was wishing I was in Disney with the DIS girls. He told me well you should have just planned on going since you had a free R/T airfare and Disney passes and only had to pay for hotel or condo and dining. Figures he says that now :rolleyes1 . Months ago he said once to Disney will have to be enough this year . Anyway hope you all had fun.

Awww man! Well, you definitely have to come the next time we do it! We had a blast! Those girls are so great! We laughed so hard! :rotfl:

The rest of your night sounds so great! I'm picturing in my head, as I'm reading your report, where we were at those same times! Too funny that we never crossed paths again!

Thomas probably would have loved seeing the parade, but it sounds like he needed to see the backs of his eyelids too after being sick! So glad he was feeling better that night though! :goodvibes

that is so cool that you got to go to DLRP, I'm sure it's a bit closer for you. I bet you love WDW better though ;) . MNSSHP was great! I love those Minnie's couch pictures. i might have to book another trip just so I can get them both in it :rolleyes1 . Thomas is a smart little guy no wonder he is on the quiet side, very sneaky. he riped of one of Tom's laptop keys on Sunday and threw it behind the couch :headache: . Then he claimed a stranger came in and took it :sad2: . Tom was really  , but now we are laughing about it  .
Your right kaylee is very sassy, that's for sure. Sorry to hear they are not doing PPP next year.

I'm surprised we didn't see again too. It wasn't terribly crowded. We were okay with Thomas sleeping through Parade, as long as we got to see it. So glad you girls had a blast! I think mom's need a good fun break sometimes.

We have been to DLRP quite a lot, I think this was my 7th visit. Like you said it is so much closer to us, and easier as we can drive, but its nothing like WDW. DLRP holds a special place in my heart as it was the first ever Disney park I visited, and I have so many magical memories. Its nice going there as they have some different things there, some of the lands and rides are different, and they have a few that WDW doesn't have (and a really cool outdoor icerink and dinner show at Christmas). And when we can't get to WDW its nice to be able to go there and still get our Disney fix. But WDW is so much better. And it was pretty cold at Halloween, but at least it wasn't cold and wet like it was when we went for NYE

That is so funny about Thomas and Tom's computer. Where do kids get these things from :confused3. I would have had to leave the room when he said that as I would have been on the floor in stitches :lmao:. I think next time he comes up with something like that you should get him to explain the whole story, and record it for us :thumbsup2

I agree. I got a bunch of the AG Cyber Monday sale items today. I'm going to let her go ahead and open them since one is the matching blue shirt to her doll. Another things my kids don't get....why DD gets 25 less expensive presents and big DS gets 3 $100 items. He's into Lego Star Wars and Wii this year. Her stuff is all AG. My goodness...just 3.5 more days. Yes!

It's hard when you try to spend s set amount on each of them. Kaylee has like 2 more gifts than Thomas also from AG. But Thomas got a new bike, a big tool chest/ bench and big items. But the Wii is for both of them so he can open that. I also just bought Thomas a set of Lego's, hope they don't end up all over the house :headache: . Your trip is so close :woohoo: .

Mini Update......

I'm just going to post a small update on what we have been up to lately. I have been so busy with Thanksgiving, Decorating for Christmas and stuff at the kids school and Kaylee's dance. Today I'm going to start wrapping the gifts. I wanted to post a trip update but I need DH to scan our CRT photo and I have no idea how to use the scanner yet :rolleyes1 .

Anyway last week we took the kids to Fantasy of trees here in Knoxville. It benefits childrens hospital and it's fun to go see all the decorations and they have kid crafts and a Carousel. Also they got to see Santa, even though Kaylee doesn't believe anymore :sad2: . Thomas's prescchol donated a tree and they ornaments for Fantasy of Trees. So we had to find his preschool tree while we were there.

I had 5 inches chopped off my hair last week to cut down on blow drying time.Blurry picture is posted above. Then we put up our tree and Tom did our outside lights too. I don't have pics of the outside yet but I have a few of the tree though they are not great, might need a new camera soon. Anyway it's mostly Disney themed, but it looks so much better in person.

Of course our topper is Tink

I will have and update of CRT and our last full day in MK tomorrow morning. I need to finish my report within the next week since the kids will be home and I will have lots of reports on here to read :goodvibes .

I love your tree, your ornaments are so cute. And I love Tinkerbelle, she is so cute. We have Tigger dressed as an angel on top of ours.

Those are great pics Nichole! Your tree is adorable! What is this mess about Kaylee not believing anymore? Ahhhh! :scared: :sad1: :scared: :sad1:

That sounds so funny. I would love to see a picture.

Thanks. A girl at school who is way too old for her age told her :sad2: and then her 10 year old cousin comfirmed it. Why don't people tell there kids not to ruin it for others. Kaylee is forbid from saying anything about Mickey, Santa , easter Bunny or anyone else. She knows I would be really mad if she ruined it for some other kid.

Thanks for the mini update :goodvibes Your tree is beautiful ! I love it :) Looks like a fun night you guys had looking at the trees and visiting with santa. Too bad Kaylee doesn't believe anymore :(

I'm looking forward to your last day at MK, I am sad though it's almost over :sad1:

All caught up again here! I'm so glad Kaylee rode RnRC and loved it. That is Sam's favorite ride in all of WDW also.

WCC looks like fun! We are actually eating there for the first time tomorrow night! I'm excited to see the resort all dressed up for Christmas.

So glad you got to enjoy the MNSSHP this time!

Love your haircut and your tree is gorgeous!

Next time you'll have to join our girls trip - we had so much fun!

That's a good looking tree ya got there! ;) Why does she not believe in Santa??? Mine totally do...everything they hear from other kids I have a come back for. They know all about the fake Santa's that sit in the malls....and these kids who don't believe....they are like that because they're mean and don't get presents...:rotfl2:
