It was very convenient to use. You must have 8 or more to use the service. There are special events available only to Magical (or Grand Gatherings..same thing)Gatherings. Check Disney's website for complete listing and prices. The part that I really, really, liked was the availability to have one person make the reservations for everyone in the party. This includes all changes of dates and resorts as well as dining reservations. It was so much easier then having to worry if everyone else was going to call when they said they would, and if they would be able to get a room in the same resort, and on and on. I was able to handle all reservations and all changes and bills were sent to the individual families. What a breeze !
We did the Magical Fireworks Cruise on July 3rd and Grand Gathering Breakfast at Tony's. Both were very nice. Tony's was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it !
The first thing you need to do is to call and ask for a Grand Gatherings coordinator. He/She will give you a GG number that is used for everyone in your party and links all ressies together even if people in the party are staying at different resorts (as we did). After that, you make your reservations and changes as you need to but ONLY deal with a Grand Gathering coordinator !! There is a direct phone number to GG but I forgot. I always just used the 800 number and asked for GG coordinator.
