We're at fever pitch around our house, 'cause we're less that three weeks out from our Boardwalk trip - two families, assorted teen friends, total party of 10, BW view studio and 2 BR - you get the picture.
We had a pre-trip meeting last Saturday for everyone - four of those going have never been to Disney. So, in typical obsessive DVC planning style, I drew up an agenda, with suggestions for PS's, what parks/what days, etc. (DD said, "I was afraid you were gonna do a powerpoint presentation.")
We used the Magical Gathering planners to book Hoop-De-Doo for us, as well as the International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception for us at Epcot. Man, that excites me, and even DW, who just rolls her eyes at my planning obsession, has perked up.
What's so cool is that of the seven non-Dreamfinder family members going, their attitude has been, "Tony, you just plan it all the way you want to, and we'll do whatever y'all like. We're just thankful to be included." In light of all the horror stories about taking friends and families to WDW with less than stellar results, I'm just tickled to have such agreeable companions who are willing to run the plays I call.
DW and I spent our honeymoon in 1980 at the Contemporary. This one is shaping up to be the best trip since then, and believe me, I've been on a bunch.
Actually, this was sort of a pointless post, but I can't help but be excited. Yeehaaaa! Will June 20 ever get here?
