I don't feel comfortable having someone else claim my luggage and then deliver it to my WDW hotel. I would rather claim my own bags at MCO.

Question: Can I claim my own bags and then load them on the Magical Express bus myself?

I don't believe so. All baggage with the special luggage tags will be gathered together and sent in trucks to the resorts. They will never make it to the regular baggage claim area. Disney has been doing this with it's cruise people and I don't remember seeing people that had lost their luggage.

What if I didn't tag it withthe special Magical Express tags. Just collected it at the baggage claim area and then went to the Magical Express area. Do you think that would be an option? Maybe I am just being paranoid. I'm sure they wouldn't lose any of the luggage, would they? I have lost luggage (NOT Disney, Air Transat Holidays) and it was a big pain. I just don't want that to happen again.

There are limitations to the luggage service (must fly specific airlines), so I can't imagine it would be a big problem, since some people will be doing their own luggage anyway.

From what I've heard, no luggage is allowed on the coach. It's quicker to embark/disembark without it. Luggage will be handled on separate trucks.

If that doesn't suit you, you can always hire a towncar service.

Fact: All incoming guests of Disney owned resorts, (see Magical Express FAQ's) regardless of Airline will be able to use the Magical Express. (I understand you must make reservations 10+ days in advance)

Fact: All outbound guests of Disney owned resorts can use the Magical Express, (if reservations are made as above)
Outbound guests traveling American, Delta, Song, Continental, United, Ted, can check their luggage at their resort. Guests traveling other airlines must bring their luggage to the coach for loading for departure to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport the guest will take their luggage to the the check in counter for check in, security, loading, etc.

Hope this helps
