if you reserved a ME spot but don't use the ME for your arrival will you still be able to use it for your departure from WDW. want to make sure that if you don't use it going to WDW you automatically lose it and won't receive the materials for your return to MCO on departure day.

If you don't want it for the way there then just make your DME reservation for the way back to begin with.

You can just make a one way reservation however if you do make a r/t reservation and don't end up using it on the inbound leg I would just check with the concierge at your resort or call DME from the room and explain. You get your return trip information delivered to your room the day prior to departure - if for some reason you don't, again check with concierge and they will print you a voucher.

I will say (mostly for those reading along) that if you change your mind and don't want to keep your reservation back to the airport Please take a minute and cancel that I have been on a DME bus back to the airport a few times when we stopped at a resort and nobody got on, imho its a complete waste of time for everyone onboard as the driver has to wait a certain amount of time before departing again.

Yes you can. Happened to a friend this last January. He flew in from Austin. I was arriving the next day from Los Angeles so on the day of he decided to not take DME and stay that night with a friend in Kissimme. We arrived early the next day and met up with him. I had a rental. He left the day before we did and took DME with no issues at all.
