How long does it usually take to board the ME and get to WDW from the airport?

Anywhere from 45mins to 2 hours. Depends on traffic!

I would figure about 1 1/2 hrs. to your resort. If you are planning to head to a park right after you arrive, then you have to figure time to check-in(online check-in will expedite this) and leave any carry-ons/bags to be held if your room is not ready, before heading to bus stop to get on the shuttle to the park. If you have any ADRs planned for arrival day, you want to make sure you have enough time to arrive at that location.

We've generally been a little over an hour from the time we get of the plane to our resort. Sometimes we have had to sit and wait on the bus at the airport for over 1/2 hour waiting for it to fill up.

How long does it usually take to board the ME and get to WDW from the airport?

We have been anywhere from 50 minutes to over 2 hours. It depends on if you have to wait for a 2nd or 3rd bus ( each happened to us once) , how long you wait to leave MCO as the bus fills up and what order they drop off. We have been 1st off ,2nd off and 3rd off so each stop adds about 5 to 10 minutes to the trip. On average I would say it was 60 to 70 minutes. Not to mention the bus driver who decided to come through Disney Springs on the way to drop people off at OKW.

Based on the comments we've gotten from ME staff, their goal is to never have anyone wait over 30 min.
They told us that they will leave either
a, when the bus is full
or
b, when the first to board has been on for 30 min
I guess sometimes there are exceptions for some reason but that's what they've told us

Times, from what I've experienced.....
Gate to DME area.....15 mins. could be from 10-20 mins depending on pace and crowds.
Checkin for bus.....5 mins. could be 1-15 mins depending on what's going on in front of you.
In line for bus....15 mins. could be 0-25 mins depending on timing of arrival.
On bus....10 mins. could be 0-20 mins, again, depending on timing of arrival.
Ride to resort.....30 min. could be 25-45 mins depending on which resort you are.

My average time has been about 75 mins. Sometimes it has taken me only 60....got to DME very quickly (boarded the tram right away, no crowd to deal with), then right through the bus line and onto a waiting bus, which then left almost immediately. Then, my resort was the first stop. But....that doesn't happen very often!!! I've waited in the checkin line for 15 mins while those ahead of me had issues, then waited for 20+ mins in the bus line, then 15 ins on a bus.
