Magical Express

Sorry brand new here! Two things: the cast member at the airport was VERY perturbed we were not yet wearing our bands....neither were many others and he yelled for everyone to get out of line and put them on. Second: question....we are traveling in April with someone new and he asked if bags get grabbed before they reach the carousel? I've never thought about it-anyone know for sure? I doubt they would just let bags go round and round
 
whats the number to call? I changed my res to a different hotel, and then went online to fill in the info- but I got a notice in the mail for the first hotel.... I need to call and confirm

1. The cast member must not have been aware that guests from outside the U.S. don't get them ahead of time. :rolleyes:

2. Yep, they're put aside for DME employees to pick up. That's one of the reasons for the yellow tags.

Magical Express does not use vouchers anymore. Wear your MagicBands and they will be scanned at the Magical Express Welcome Center a few times before boarding the bus.
Why do you say this? I got vouchers and yellow bag tags for my trip that leaves on 4/12 today. We've never not gotten a voucher

And like both GoofyNewfie and I said, people from outside the the U.S. don't get Magic Bands ahead of time - how are they supposed to get on the DME buses if they don't use vouchers anymore?

Can I fly in on Sunday or Saturday and spend the night(s) at an airport hotel and then take the Magical Express on Monday morning? That is the day my Disney resort reservations start.
I have a similar situation but my question is how early can we board magical express from the MCO airport? I wasn't sure when ME started running each day.
 
Magical Express runs 24 hours as needed. Board after you check in at the Welcome Center and the bus you've been directed to the line to arrives - assuming there's not already one waitingn

It's not technically "vouchers" like they used to send. Now it's just a letter. They used to send a booklet with actual vouchers for each leg of your trip.
 
I haven't had 'vouchers' in a long time. I now get a brief 'letter' that explains how to use DME, and my luggage tags. If you don't have MBs, then the DME CMs will print something up for you to take to the bus with you.

I guess I was thinking of the letter as a voucher. It has a barcode to scan
I've needed it one time
When we checked in and scanned out MB the system pulled up our correct reservation and we were directed to the right lane
When they scanned us at the loading point it showed the incorrect resort. They wanted to see my letter before letting us board
No idea what would have happened had I not brought it
I guess I'd have to go back to the first cm to get something printed off showing our reservation

Ah, ok. I was thinking of those rip out vouchers they used to use.
There was the time my tags had Pop on them, but I had switched to POR. When I tapped my MB, it came up Pop....even though the reservation number never changed, and MDE showed POR! They 'fixed' it in their system...so they said. Still misdirected checked bags. But I wonder what would have happened if the bus touch point said we were going to Pop! I had nothing to show them to 'prove' I was going to POR!
