I hope I'm posting in the correct area, if not, sorry.

I have a question about Magical Express service. When do you get notification of this service? We are going the week of Dec 16th and haven't been notified yet. We rented through a DVC member and he has stated Member services tells him over the phone they see the Magical Express service, but on-line under transportation in our reservation it shows no transportation selected.

We are under 60 days and just want to know if I need to just rent a car at this point.

Magical Express documents usually come a few (2-3) weeks prior to your arrival date. Even if they do not come, you can still use the service but would need to collect your own luggage after the flight.

I wouldn't worry about a rental car at this point at all.

You will typically get your Magical Express packet at about four weeks out, sometimes it comes later (2 or 3 weeks out). Even though you rented points for your reservation, you can call DME yourself to verify your reservation is there and your info is correct. The phone number is 866-599-0951. :goodvibes
 
Did you or someone else contact DME and provide arrival and departure dates, flight info, etc.? If not then you won't have a reservation and therefore will receive no 'notification.'
 

Too early to receive it. About 4 weeks before sounds good. We arrive early Dec. and won't be expecting them for almost two more weeks.
 
I also rented and we leave Nov. 29th. We haven't gotten anything yet either but I'm expecting in the next few weeks. When I log in to the Disney site it won't show our Magical Express but we were told that when you rent points it never does. As long as you have your reservation number you're ok though. When you get there you can go to the desk and talk to someone at the Magical Express service at the airport. However, I'm sure the info is on its way!
 
We got ours yesterday (10/27/12), and we arrive at Kidani on 12/1/12 (35 days :yay:). We have generally gotten ours about 4-6 weeks before arrival with previous trips.

Thanks for answering this and giving a time estimate. We arrive November 30th, and I had no idea when to expect the ME packet. Will be keeping an eye out on the mailbox now, even though it takes a week longer to get to where I'm at usually. How neat to receive mail before your Disney stay!
