Magical Express

My mother is flying down and meeting us at AKL. She will be using Magical Express to get there from Orlando Airport. Her paperwork arrived today. The luggage tags are red with a Mickey head on them. They don't say anything about Magical Express on them Is that all she needs? She just attaches them to her bags and they know? We have never used Magical Express before.

Those sound like they are just the fun luggage tags from Disney for booking a package. Our DME packet came separate this time. The tags will be yellow and it will be clear they are for DME. If the trip is coming soon you can call Disney and they can send them to you again.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it sounded strange that they looked like regualr tags. I will give Disney a call tomorrow.

Your Mother has to have a reservation to ride DME. If she didn't receive the DME voucher and yellow luggage tag she can call DME directly and give them her flight information. If there is enough time they will be able to send the DME yellow luggage tag to her (or to whomever received the rest of her paperwork including the red tags with Mickey on them).

You have to reserve ME; it is not automatic.

The package will come separately from Magical Express. It is not included in the package from Disney.

She will receive one yellow tag with the name of the resort on it. It is a sticky tag that doubles over, with a bar code on it and it goes on the handle of the luggage.

The package will include a map of how to get to the ME desk, as well as Transportation vouchers to and from the airport.

On the last night of the trip, she will receive a packet on her door with a return trip time to the airport. For domestic flights, it is three hours before your flight time and you are requested to arrive at the bus area about 15 minutes before the bus departs.

She can check her baggage at the RAC desk at AKL, between 5 am and 1 pm, as long as her baggage is checked three hours prior to flight departure time, no less.

We went in Jan and used ME, the flyer says it's Magical Express with a picture of Mickey wearing a pilot's cap looking to the right. That's the icon on all of the ME items. Ours came separately from the ticketing info from the TA.
