We are flying down for the first time (we usually drive). We want to use Disney's Magical Express. I have called and added our flight info to our already existing resort reservations. Tell me everything I need to know. :)

Well there is not much. You will get your luggage tags about 2 weeks before. When you check in at the airport and you won't see the luggage until after you get to the resort. It can take up to 4 hours after you check in. If you don't want that don't put the tags on. Pick up your luggage and bring it to the ME check-in. On the B side of the airport is Me check in. Have the paperwork ready, that was sent to you. You check in stand on the line they tell you to and wait for your bus. Simple as that.

Okay...here goes.
You should get your info packet, with one luggage tag pp and vouchers for each person, up to 4 weeks before departure. This packet will tell you pretty much everything you need to know. It will also have a map for you so that you easily find DME...although it isn't that hard to begin with.

You will put a luggage tag on your checked luggage. If you think you may need more than the one pp, call and ask for more. Say goodby to your bag(s) at your home airport. When you get to the main terminal you are on level 3. You need to go down to level 1..ground transportation. Head over to Side B...just look up as you enter the main terminal after the sercurity area, you'll see the big neon Side A and Side B signage.
Go down to level 1, and look for DME. It is all the way at the end of the area. You will checkin, either at the counter or at the start to the counter line...depends on the current situation there. Your vouchers will be scanned, you will be asked how many bags and about your return flight plans. Then, it's off to the bus lines. There is a line for each resort. Go to your resort line. When the appropriate bus comes along (every 15 mins or so) you will be directed to the right bus. There may be 2 or 3 other resorts included on that bus. When you get to your resort, hop off, get checked in. Your bags can be expected to arrive in your resort room up to 4 hrs after resort checkin.

Hope that helps some.

If you don't want them to take your luggage, don't put the yellow tags on your luggage. Pick up your luggage at baggage claim and then proceed to the ME desk (you'll have to take the elevator down to it). I prefer to do this because I don't like to wait for my luggage when I check in.

And while I like to check in my luggage on the way back to the airport when I leave (they check you in and take your luggage), they did lose one of my bags this last trip. No biggie because it was delivered to my house late that evening but it was a bit worrisome.

The ride is not that long and they do have a 20 minute video but you never know when the bus is ready to load or when they will leave. I have gotten on ME and sat there for 20 minutes before they actually took off. So make sure you use the restroom and have water and a snack.
