Magical Express......

We have used ME two times. In 2004 it was an absolute disaster with slow bus service, lost luggage, etc. This year our luggage was very late to our room, but the bus was on time and the driver was friendly. :)
You couldn't possibly have used Disney's Magical Express on your August 2004 trip, on your way to and from Wilderness Lodge. DME was launched on May 5, 2005. I don't know what you used, but it could not have possibly been DME.

So, just for everyone else paying attention at home, the "absolute disaster with slow bus service, lost luggage" was not a DME experience. Just simply not possible.

That's interesting. On our last flight into MCO on Southwest, there was actually a sign right in our jetway that said "Disney's Magical Express is on Side B, Lower Level"

I must have missed that sign. I had a friend who had never used ME arriving 2 days after me. I had told her to follow the signs to baggage claim B when she got off the plane. When I arrived (on the same airline) I noticed that all the signs said baggage claim A. It isn't until after you get off the monorail that you see side B signs if you arrive on side A. There were other guest at the monorail looking all confused with ME documents in hand and they asked me if I knew where I was going. It can be very confusing for a first timer to MCO. I am sure if they asked any offical they would quickly be given great directions.

Thats correct it all depends on what Airline you fly . Some are only on the B side so that all you will see until you get to the Main area of the Airport (after monorail). Now it gets confusing for those flying that arrival gates are on the A side (SWA) you will see just A ,again at the Merge after the MR you will go left to the B Baggage claim area.

The easiest thing to tell people is follow the baggage claim until you pass the Security checkpoint then look up and follow the B side to the baggage claim area.

Another fan here, 4x and all great, to BWV, AKL, CSR and most recently POFQ.

Last trip was Good Friday, April 07. We arrived at MCO at 9:15 and were checked into POFQ by 10:30 and on our way to the pool, faster than any town car experince for us. After lunc our room was ready and when we went up we found our luggage, grocery delivery and water from staples waiting (with the perishables in the frige). IMHO it doesn't get much better than that :)

ME is fine for what it is.. but we think it takes too long to get to where you are going.. we stayed at WL last time and we had to stop and drop off at all the MK resorts and WL was last... not counting the time we waited for the bus to fill up.. we would rather just take a cab next time.
