I have never used ME before I am flying delta and they are participating airlines what does that mean. How does magical express work from airport to resort?

Thanks Disers

Make your Disney room or package reservations and tell them you want Magical Express and tell them your flight #s.

A few weeks before you depart (usually 3 weeks), you will receive a package in the mail that has your Magical Express information.

Inside this package will be instructions on where to proceed, your bus tickets and yellow luggage tags.

Place those yellow luggage tags on each piece of luggage that you will be checking on the plane.

Check into your home airport, check your luggage and board your flight.

When you land in Orlando, go DIRECTLY to the Magical Express checkin desk on SIDE A of the airport, on level 1. Do not go to baggage claim as your bags won't be there.

Go to the desk and give them your Magical Express packet. They will direct you to a bus line.

Board the bus, and you will be taken to your resort. (Your bus might stop at other resorts first).

Go to the checkin desk of your resort and check in. Then if your room is not ready, leave your carryon with bell services, and hop on Disney transportation for wherever you wish, or head for the pool or whatever. If your room is ready, then drop your carryon in your room and enjoy the rest of the day.

When you return to your room later in the day, your bags will be there.

(Now, if you arrive late at night, and want to go straight to bed, then tell bell services that you want your luggage delivered the next day, just make sure your carryon has sleep stuff and clothes for the next day).

Now for the trip home.

This is where participating airline plays in. The stuff from the last post is for EVERYONE, no matter what airline.

The day before you are to depart, you should receive something on your resort door from Magical Express that has your flight time and your bus pickup time. Verify that your flight time is correct. If so, you are all set, if not, go by the front desk of your resort to correct it.

The morning of your departure day (as long as your departure is after 9am), drop by the "Resort Airline Check-In Desk" with your luggage (you can get bell services to assist you). This desk is open between 5 am and 1pm. You can do this from 3 1/2 hours to 12 hours before your flight. Check your bags and receive your airline boarding passes from this desk. You will need your flight confirmation # and government ID for everyone in your group.

If your bus pickup is later in the afternoon, then enjoy the parks, resort, relax by the pool, or whatever your wish.

Report to the Magical Express boarding area at your resort about 15 minutes before your pickup time indicates on your sheet.

Take the ride to the airport, and then proceed straight through security and on to your gate.

(If your flight time is before 9am, then you will need to take your checked luggage to the bus, have the driver store it, retrieve it from the driver when you get to the airport, then check in for your flight at the airport, as the resort airline check in desk won't be open when your bus time is scheduled).

You do mean only the adults, my dd 7 does not have one that I know of at this time.

Yes, children under 18 do not need gov't ID to fly.

I noticed that on my ME information they have the correct flight numbers & dates, but the times for both arrival & departure on the actual time we land in MCO & in ISP, respectively. Is that correct?? :confused3 I was thinking that it should the actual departure flight time, but I could be wrong. :sunny:

The times are not important on the ME documentation, just the dates and flight numbers. If your flight numbers change then you need to notify ME on the 1-800 #. They probably won't. Airlines are always fine tuning dep/arr times based on experience and traffic flow. So, the bottom line, no need to worry! :thumbsup2
