I recently made two separate reservations (rented out my points) for next year. Both families wanted to use the Magical Express. When making the first reservation - MS told me the travellers would need to call them one month before to give flight details etc. On the second occasson, MS told me that I had to call them as I was the DVC member.

Does anyone have experience of this either as a DVC member who has rented out their points, or as someone who bought points?

I'm confused???????? :confused3

I am pretty sure that as the DVC member you need to call, since you are contacting Member Services. When we made our reservation, we called as the DVC member.

I called MS to reserve the Magical Express Bus, when I rented out our pts.

go to

at the bottom is the thing to click on and fill in.

you will need to do for each family.

you need a lot of information from them - so be sure to have all the information before you start.

this system is strange - most of the time it tells you (thru email) that you request went thru.

sometimes it says it didn't - then call MS to have them check or you can call DME directly then.

I do mine online too, I find it pretty easy. I traded into DVC for Jan 09 and MS wouldn't take my ME request so I just took the info and did it online and I got an email back saying it went through.

Waiting until one month before check in is cutting it close for DME. I would book DME as soon as they have their flights arranged.

This is the second time this week that ME won't accept info prior to 30 days. Isn't that a tight time frame to expect turnaround on ME packets? I thought that as soon as flight information was available we should use on-line so that Disney had sufficient time. :confused3

I usually call and I think I have my packet in about 10 business days.

Just called earlier this week(Mon or Tues) for our Thanksgiving trip, leaving 11/21. I'll update when I get myself.

Received Magical Express documents today 10/29. So it took about a week after calling MS.

What do you mean the ME won't won't accept your info?

If you are a DVC Member you can only place your request through Member Services. DVC reservations are down loaded to ME 30 days prior to your trip. Prior to 30 days ME has no record of your request.

Actually, I have booked ME well before 30 days. I think they send out your packet between 30 days and 2 weeks before departure. I think the earliest you could book ME was 75 days before check in. I wonder if all this has changed now.
