usair is not on the list of check in's at the resort when leaving, last year we flew delta so i checked my bags before we left, what do i do now, do i just take my bags up to the bus and then grab them when i get off and proceed just as i would if i had just returned a rental car?

Yes. You retrieve your bags when you get to the airport and then go to your airlines check in counter.

It is my understanding that if you fly a participating airline (Delta, in this case), you will check your bags at the resort and this is handled for you.

Yep, you got it right. Just take them on the bus and get them before you get off.

Umm .. no ... If you're flying a participating airline, you check your bags at the resort, they issue your boarding pass, and you are done. No need to touch your bags again.

If you are *not* flying a participating airline, then yes, you are responsible for getting your luggage on and off the ME bus when you leave your resort as well as when you arrive at MCO.

That is exactly right....

The only issue that I had last year, was that the Disney Bus left off the passengers for SOuthwest SO FAR away from the SOuthwest Check in! We had to drag all our luggage the length of the airport.

Hopefully I will realize this this year, and asked to be dropped off closer.

YES! We flew Southwest and had one in a wheel chair, one in stroller, carry ons and luggage to get all the way down to kiosks. Then get the tags and take the luggage to the scanners to be dropped of for checkin. With all the new regulations, lines today were horrible. We were at WDW when all of the new stuff happened so we had to repack differently to come home! :lmao: But, we made it home !! :sad2:

Hope you had a great time on your vacation! :thumbsup2

I am interested in this post because I am flying US Air too, in two weeks. For my flight back, when I get to the airport, will there be what I call "curb side check-in" where they'll take your bags and give you your boarding pass at the curb? Or does MCO not have this at all, or not have it now because of the recent threat level increase (to orange), and I will have to go inside the airport to check my luggage?
