Well, I've eventually arranged our accommodation for Dec :woohoo:

We're flying with VH to Orlando (flydrive) on the 2nd Dec and staying in an apartment for the first week.
For the final 4 nights I've booked Port Orleans/French Quarter :thumbsup2

I've arranged to have the car for the full 11 nights and planned to return it to the airport before our flight home.

The question is, should I stick to the original plan or use Magical Express and drop the car off locally :confused3

Any thoughts would be much appreciated as I have no idea what the benefits / downside might be.

Thanks for your help :grouphug:

We have done both. The car gives you more control and you can time your journey back to the airport giving you longer in the park on departure day. Magical Express takes all the stress out of the final journey, but you do lose a bit of your final day.

Where would you say the most convenient place to drop the car off would be?

Also, what time does Magical Express whisk you away? :)

Supposedly for International flights, 3 hours prior to departure time, but this can vary depending on what order your resort is for the pick-up. If you are first it will be earlier, however if you are the last stop you can end up stressing about time as they will get you a bit later. YOu will only be given a time the day before, which will be placed on the handle of your room door.

Thankyou :thumbsup2

It looks as though I might be charged to change the car details (Alamo) so we might well stay as we are but I'm still listening :)

You may notice when I have questions that even when they are answered I still have a few more on the subject. Why? Because information and knowledge is never wasted. What you dont use this time can be banked for next time. In the interim, you get to share it with others. :goodvibes

DME will pick uyou up about 4 hours before your departure time as you need to be at the airport 3 hours before the flight. Last two times we have used DME and it has worked well, no rush, no major waits at the airport, and time to have some food, drink and last min shopping.

Only realised this time round that at security if you have children you can use the family line which this time round was much shorter than the other lanes

Thanks for the heads up on that. I have never noticed a family line. I would have thought a family line would be longer. Just goes to show! :)
