Magical Express to Dolphin??

We are considering the Dolphin for our next trip. We have stayed there before and LOVED it. Can we use Magical Express to the Dolphin? I know it is not Disney owned but I know some of the PERKs still apply. We are going to rent a small car and use that to get us around the parks with DS (handicapped and it is so much easier) but we thought DD and I would take Magical Express with most of the luggage and DH could take little DD and DS in the small car with the carry ons and the wheelchair and carseat and drive to WDW and we (with the luggage) would meet them there. It is so $$$ to rent a van for the whole trip when we really only need it to and from the airport. A small car eill be fine going from park to park with the wheelchair and kids. We like having the car for DS as he doesnt do well waiting for the bus etc....Does anyone know if this is allowed with the Swan Dolphin?

That stinks...I am sad. I am now going to have to go to the transportation board and find the cheapest way to WDW from the airport so DD and I can take the luggage over....probably 2 small cars and return one at the Dolphin....or maybe MEARS. The difference between a car and a van was over $500 so we are definitly going to pursue the car route. Thanks for the info. I wonder why Disney allows some perks and not others?? Oh well, we tried. Thanks again for the info!

Are there other things we need to know about PERKS? ?You can charge to the room and use early entry correct???? We have stayed there before but DS got sick and we didnt leave the room or hotel......i really dont remember what they were. I remember a room charge and a newpaper fee......now I am second guessing our hotel choice.....

No, you cannot charge things from the parks/Disney resorts to your Swan/Dolphin room key - only things purchased from/in the Swan/Dolphin. Sorry!

We LOVE the Dolphin and other than ME and room charging the "perks" are the same, including EMH and use of transportation. The location can't be beat and the heavenly beds are really heavenly. I thought I would miss the room charge but honestly I didn't. I hope you won't either. They have recently dropped the extra fee

As far as your transportation issue, perhaps using a towncar service for everyone to/from MCO and then renting your get around car from the desk at the Dolphin. A towncar from MCO to the Dolphin runs about 110 +/- plus tip and the driver can assist you with luggage.

You may find you can cut a day or two off your rental car if you can use the boat or walk to/from Epcot and MGM. Just another option!

Otherwise you can book Mears motorcoach , IIRC $18.00 per person one way and $30.00 per person round trip but you will still have to deal with the luggage.

I was just going to post this question. Glad I found this thread. DH has a conference at the Swan in February & we were wondering the same thing about ME.
