Does the Magical Express run at all hours? Do they base their presence on reservations or are they a constant presence at the Orlando airport? We're considering a very early/late flight. :confused3

It does run at all hours, but I would assume that there won't be anyone at the counter at a time when they aren't expecting any guests to show up. Since guests have to make a reservation ahead of time, they know when to expect the last passengers of the day and therefore have no reason to stick around once the last guests have checked in for the night.

They run Magical Express 24/7. After 10pm you do need to pick up any checked luggage and bring it to the bus, they won't grab it for you.

I have a total of 1 late night experience with ME, and it wasn't a very good one. We spent a long time on the bus, waiting for more guests. And then we had the misfortune of being the 4th stop that night. It took us 2 hours from touch down to being at the check in desk.

For my family, if we ever fly in that late again, I will get a towncar. Waiting around during the day is not such a big deal, at night it was a pain.

As already noted, DME runs 24/7. Baggage handling does not. They stop retrieving luggage at 10pm and resume at around 6am-ish.
Some have reported short wait times when arriving at MCO late at night, others have reported long wait times. I assume it's the luck of the draw
If I were arriving late and had to get my bags anyway, I think I would book a car service.
