Can someone point me in the direction of the website that has the resort route/zones for the DME bus system? I remember seeing it a while back, but now I can't find it. :confused3 I also am looking for the times that busses pick up at the resorts.

Thanks :flower:

There are no routes or zones. Never were. I know what you're talking about, though. Before DME started, there were posts on here with that type of information, but it never went into effect.

I had a printout with that info on it when I used DME on May 8, its 4th day of operations. I thought for sure that's how it would go, but true life bore no resemblence to that information, which came from an outdated Disney internal memo (or something like that -- I know it wasn't just made up by someone).

DME groupings and routes are a completely dynamic situation. Resorts are grouped and buses are routed based on need at that particular time. In other words, if you and I arrive at MCO the same time, and you're going to Animal Kingdom Lodge and I'm going to CBR, we might go on the same bus. Say our spouses arrive on another flight two hours later but at the same time as each other -- there's every chance they'll go on separate buses, based on Disney's knowledge of who's arriving when and where everyone's going. They apparently decided it's much more efficient to do it this way than with static groupings.

As far as routes for any particular bus, at least one DME driver on this board has posted many times that the general procedure is the resort closest to MCO gets dropped off first, and so on.

So the short answer is, sorry, you can't know in advance who you'll be on a bus with or in what order you'll be dropped off.

As for buses picking up at the resorts for the return trip to the airpor, there is also no specific schedule. Buses pick up twice an hour, about a half hour apart, but the exact time depends on where else that bus has already picked up, where it has to go, if it's so full that another bus has to be assigned...
You will get your return trip information the day before you check out. It will have you scheduled to be picked up about three hours before your flight, maybe fifteen minutes less. Please believe the time and be there for that bus. By the time all the luggage and passengers get loaded, the bus picks up wherever else it needs to and drives to the airport, figure on about two hours or somewhat less IN the airport to check in (if needed), get through security (some of those lines are LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG) and get to your gate.

There are set times for resort pickups. If you tell me the resort, I'll tell you the pickup time.

We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. Our flight leaves around 1:30 pm.

Thanks!

I just found THIS PAGE...maybe it was what I remembered seeing. Do you know if these zones generally apply or is this the old information?

Thanks :flower:

BAD INFORMATION. POP--CSR--AKL is a popular routing but not from the site you linked to. Many of us think the routing is for the luggage trucks.
