Magical Express Review on Mousesavers

Use the Magical Express hotline, 866-599-0951, to plug in your flight info. And request a written ME confirmation and get the name of the person you talked to on at least two tries, then (if you are arriving before 10 PM) don't bother to call any more.

Once you give your flight number, if they forget it it really should not make any difference unless your flight is delayed and/or you arrive after about 10 PM. Don't ask about your ME reservation, assume you have one when you step off the plane. Just smile and be friendly to the ME airport hosts and ask as few questions as you can get away with as you follow the hosts' instructions.

Next trip: mid-May 2005, off site therefore can't use ME.

I did this last week, they told me that there was not time to send me a written confirmation as I was leaving in less than a week. I just do not feel like right now the system is working well enough that I am willing to risk it. I have reserved a towncar and unless a miracle happens and ME suddenly gets it together, I am keeping that as my transportation. Perhaps come September the system will be working well enough that I will feel comfortable using it. Right now, this is the first time that I am traveling alone with my daughter and I don't need the stress of worrying about whether or not my luggage and my transportation are taken care of. Thanks for your help and suggestions, I just don't want to have to be concerned about any of it. With ME I know I'll get there eventually but I'd rather know that I'll arrive at my hotel within a reasonable time of landing and I know that will happen with the towncar.

There is not much room overhead for carry-ons. But there the large typical luggage compartment under the bus. I imagine most luggage will just be stored underneath during the drive, for those with luggage.

From everything I've read, the DIS, passporter, allears, unofficial guide, official guide, WDW site...you are only allowed to take the carry-ons that you had on the plane with you onto the ME bus. All luggage that has been checked through must be collected by the ME's CMs and taken to the awaiting truck which will then deposit your luggage at your resort. :moped:

Yes, the bus does have small storage compartments above the seats, but IF the ME operates similar to the DCL busses, then even the carry-on is stowed under in the large compartment until you arrive at your destination. This is how it was done for our cruise last November even though there were only 4 adults and 4 kids on the bus...all of the carry-on (except for the diaper bag the other couple had) went below. :sad2:

I do have faith that WDW will figure out this free transportation service sooner or later, but I'm really not sure if it will be fixed enough for our 6/1 arrival and to be honest, I do not want to start my vacation stressing about IF my luggage is gonna make it or not OR how long I'm gonna have to wait. Right now, I'm leaning toward the town car service...unless I see some real magic :wizard: in the next couple of weeks I'm going with the town car for June and ME for our Christmas trip. Sorry, Mickey...

I'm hoping also that it goes smoothly cos I leave a week from today (May 15). I haven't received luggage tags *yet*. Come on USPS and WDW, come through for us all!
