Magical Express reservation from DVC site ?

I decided to try reserving ME on the DVC website instead of calling up. It looks like it worked ok, but how do I know for sure? Has anyone else done this? Have you received a confirmation email or anything? Or have you just waited for the stuff in the mail to come?

I've used the online form several times. Each time, I've received a confirmation email, and my paperwork has always arrived at the "usual" time.

I did it that way for a trip we just finished last night.

I first received an email just saying that they received my request for Magical Express. I don't remember it saying anything else.

And then I received my packet with the tickets for the desk and the luggage tags before the trip.

I've done this at least three times. I got a confirmation email each time and the packet arrived well in advance of my trip.

Hmm, how long after the reservation did you all receive email confirmations? I made mine yesterday and haven't received anything yet.

I really like doing it online -- especially for complicated reservations where ticket packs and baggage tags need to be sent to multiple addresses and people are coming in on different days/flights. The written confirmation is also nice to have.

If there is a problem with you're on-line ME transaction, you will receive a email or phone call from MS to correct the information. I also follow up with ME. There have been times where the info was incorrect or missing. ME will correct your request while you are on the phone with them.

I ususally get my confirmation e-mail 4-5 days after making the ME reservation.

This may be a silly question

Can I still book ME off of the DVC site if I'm not staying DVC my first night? We are flying in late on a Friday night and I didn't want to waste points so we are staying at POP on Friday and moving to AKV the next morning.

It's not silly! You can't book the first ME experience with MS since you are staying at Pop for that. You have to do it through the central reservations. If you are leaving from a DVC resort, that segment you can do with MS, either using the phone or internet.
