Is this service available to ANYONE staying ON Disney property?? Is it for vacation club members only?? Can you clarify? My sister will be flying down January 20th-- alone-- we are all staying at Pop Century-- since I am IN Florida -- my daughter and I are just driving down----- will they bring her over to Pop?? :wave2:

I believe you need to have a magic your way package booked-not 100% sure. Anyone else? :moped:

Yes, DME is for anyone flying in and/or out of Orlando International and staying at any Disney-operated WDW resort.

DME does not require a Magic Your Way package, DVC membership, or any particular room rate or minumum stay. Not every registered guest in the room needs to use DME. So if one person arrives by car and the other by air, that's not a problem.

In my opinion, the best part of DME is the free inbound luggage transfer service. That's available to anyone riding the DME coach from Orlando International to their WDW resort, regardless of airline.

Do you have to store your luggage?? DH and I will only have one backpack each and would like to keep it with us.

DME "magically" delivers checked luggage only. Carry-ons are your responsibility. That being said, when you get to your DME bus you MAY choose to have the driver stow the carry-ons in the cargo hold, if you wish. When you get to your resort, the driver will get your carry-ons for you (and please tip if you do that). No problem with taking your carry-ons onto the bus with you as long as they can be stored under your seat or on the overhead shelf.

And to answer someone else's question (as Horace already has), DME is for anyone who flies into MCO and stays at a Disney-operated WDW resort (Swan, Dolphin, and Shades of Green are on WDW property but are not owned and operated by Disney). EVERYONE. No matter the type of room, package or no package, etc.

Do you need to give the DME folks the flight information when you register that passenger? even if they are bringing carry on and not checking baggage?

Yes, DME needs the flight info so they can adequately plan about how many passengers will be going to which resorts at what times. They use this info, in part, to determine bus routes/resort groupings for that time of day.
