Ok, I am going to try to stay calm as I write this. I booked my vacation and my parents booked a vacation at the same time. Because my parents rented a car she never reserved the ME for me. She said that she has called and reserved it, but I will not get the tags in time. Do I go to baggage check now because I will not have the tags and they will not know which bags are mine. She said to just check in at the booth, but I am confused. If anyone has done ME without tags please let me know how you handeled this.
Thanks,
Kim

Choice #1 -- Go directly to the ME welcoming area and say you never got tags and they will make arrangments to fetch your baggage for automatic magical delivery. With or without the yellow tags, baggage usually does not get there until a few hours after you do.

Choice #2 -- Get your baggage yourself and with rare exceptions the luggage will be taken under the bus with you.

Let's start a fad!

For all travel put 3x5 cards, each with the same 3 digit number of your choice in big digits, on all of your suitcases.

No need to worry. As long as you give them the baggage claim numbers they will retrieve your luggage and take it to your resort. No need to handle your suitcases.

Here's a tip: If the dome light switch is on, the light will be on when you get in the car and close the door! So just turn it off during your drive before you get to WDW. Then, when you lock the door and close it, the light will go out like magic! :rotfl2:

I had no problem with this last week. We didn't get anything in the mail and just brought our tags to the ME desk and they fixed up everything... no worries.

One thing I would do though, is call Reservations or Member Services and just make sure that they do have all of your information including flight numbers.

Not if it is the next day. The battery will be dead.

At least on old cars the dome light goes on and off off instantly as I push the switch before opening the door and getting out at my previous destination, so I can quickly make sure it is off.

But with many new cards, I sit and fidget with the switch and the light stays on.
