My MIL and her family are flying in to MCO on Nov 2. She is completly clueless about this and because we are driving (leaving 12 days after they get back but thats a different thread!) I don't know much about this service.
She is staying at All Stars and she said she did call Disney with her travel info. Is that all she has to do? How soon should they recieve their luggage tags? What should they do if they don't get them on time? I'd really like to clue her in on how this works.
Thanks,
Kimba :paw:

If she has called Disney with her information, she should (cross fingers!!) receive her luggage tags approximately one week before she leaves. This has varied, however. I would double-check w/Disney to make sure they have her information. Once the tags arrive, put them on the luggage. When she arrives in MCO, there will be representatives there who will guide her through the process. Tell her to make sure she keeps the information that is sent to her - there will be a letter along with the tags and some additional information. She will not have to retrieve her luggage, ME will do all of that for her. Note that the tags from Disney will arrive by express mail - Fedex, DHL, etc.

They may not receive their luggage tags in time... which is fine... they just have to go and collect their own luggage and the bus driver will place them under the bus. They need to make sure that they are confirmed though and get a confirmation number over the phone from ME.... Once they arrive at MCO (this is without luggage tags), they would go and collect their own bags and then go to terminal A to the the 1st floor, where one person out of the party will check in and then they will get into the line to ride the bus.

We did not use the luggae tags on our trip... mostly because I like to have everything with me in case I need it..... and everythign was fine. They just need to ensure that they are in the system.

Hope this helps :earboy2: :earboy2:

Even if they don't have tags they won't have to retrieve their own luggage. As long as they have the claim slips to give ME the numbers. Some people have put tape or something to make the bags stand out. I wouldn't worry about them not getting tags, more than likey they will arrive in time.
