Magical Express Question

I have a question about the Magical Express and saw the thread about asking questions there, but it seems to have become a question about gratuities.

Anyway, here's my dilemma....my father in law, his wife, and son are flying into MCO the same day we arrive by car...my husband is planning to pick them up at the airport, but we want to take advantage of ME for their return to the airport. Their return flight is at 7:30am...so that would mean getting up VERY early for him to take them back to the airport, then we have to start driving back home that same day. So, you see, my question is, can we use the ME for the return trip only? I'm planning to call tomorrow, but wasn't sure if any experts could share some info, since this just came about. Originally we were all driving down, but now they have a family reunion to attend on the day of check in....so they are taking a late flight while the remainder of our group drives. Thanks for any help.
 
After more research, I did find that DME can be used for 1 leg of trip...but does anyone know how this works?
 
We took the Magical Express one way. We booked it when we made our reservation and took the bus for our return trip to the airport.
 
Can anyone explain to me how this works if they are not using ME for the trip to the resort...but only back to the airport? Do they still need to get in line at airport and get return vouchers...or will the resort take care of it? Thanks again.

My understanding is that you make the reservation for DME when you make your hotel reservations with CRO. If you already made reservations call the DME no. 866-599-0951 and give them the flight information (and probably you'll need your hotel confirmation no.). You shouldn't have to check in at the DME counter at the airport upon arrival (but double check that when you call DME). You would do the hotel check-in at the resort the day you leave, the resort leaves instructions for you on the day before you leave. HTH :banana:
 
We're just back from our family reunion on May 27th and used ME. Their were four other families in our group using different airlines with various arrival / departure times all using ME. We had all registered months earlier and varified flight info with ME but no tags ever arrived. Things still worked well.

One family used ME only for their departure. They went to the front desk after checking out of the hotel , the CM directed them to the valet service . The CM at the valet service reviews their flight information and what time they would like to arrive at the airport and adds name to the list. The CM gave them a voucher since none of our tags/vouchers came. You give the voucher to the driver and he loads your bags and away you go. Very easy and very fast.

We all would use it again.

And, if you can't get a voucher from the hotel, the driver has replacement vouchers just in case.
 
I just added the ME to the return trip only. I was told that I would still be receiving the luggage tags...but NOT put them on until the return trip or my inlaws will be waiting at the baggage claim area for luggage that is gone. As she simply stated, I'm really not receiving the "perks" since it's not a participating airline...just getting a free ride to the airport. I said that was all I was looking for. :goodvibes
